Pretty much goes like this (found on Reddit, I edited to remove one word but you can figure it out). Very Accurate lol. Why are people so angry at Air owners and about the Air existing?

any of the threads I have been in regarding the Air I have not seen anyone angry about the Air, just descriptive criticisms of the phone. Who is actually angry? Use what you like. It does seem Air users are a bit more sensitive from some of the threads, like any criticism somehow devalues what they like to use.

Yep, these are called red herrings, something distract from the actual discussion of the device itself.

The best part of this meme is that I can quite literally relate to both of them.😭😭😭

All jokes aside, I don’t feel like it’s really “anger” toward Air users or the phone itself. Just people who don’t understand or see the vision, and therefore cannot appreciate it as much as those who can/do.

I don't think this is actually that accurate. All the articles I see are people trying to use them and figuring out poor battery life or that the camera didn't meet their expectations and they are just discussing it. Not really a personal attack, just pointing out the flaws as a device. Same thing with the mini. 90% of people don't care about a smaller or lighter phone, especially when they come with compromises. I'm a 13 mini user currently and I completely understand that most people don't want one due to the battery life. Makes sense.

The Air should die because it made the base pro more expensive... Haters will say that no it's still on the same price because now it has 256gb... Well just a reminder that the base iPhone 17 kept the same price and got 256gb on the base model...

While the air replace the plus... it's also more expensive than the plus previous price...

I was so tempted to get the Mini back in the day but didn't and I have regretted it since. I'm very glad I got the Air and I'm starting to think these "specialty" phones might be the way forward for me as I often don't like the typical models (Pro and non pro).

I was so hyped back in the day when they speculated that mini would have been a Pro model with 120 Hz screen, but we know that didnt happen. It felt so nice but I just couldn´t buy it when you could get 120 on the Pro model.

To each their own, for me I prioritize light weight over other hardware specs.

I cannot believe someone with a Pro would be mad at an Air user, mainly because the popularity of the Pros has proved that Apple has no choice than to lean harder on making them more Pro as they have continued to be a resounding success.

I am glad the Air is proving to be more niche and Apple will build them accordingly.

If anything I think the Air’s poor performance is forcing Apple to ensure they do minimal compromises in the Air 2 and ensure they get:
- Better battery
- Stereo Speakers
- Better Camera

If these 3 things are improved Apple may have a huge success next year.
I get the feeling it is forcing their hands in being more innovative in fitting more in a slimmer body which would also bode well for iPhone Fold.

I strongly believe the Air 2 will get at least 2 out of those 3, maybe even all three.

Did you get it on launch or a few weeks afterwards?
I ask because maybe the At&t employees may have seen a higher return rate if you bought it a few weeks in and they want to contain that hence they were pushing towards the Pro.
They may not have known that you are aware of what you are getting yourself into and don’t mind.

How do you know the price wouldn't have changed if the Air wasn't introduced..
