You should at least try out the method you are describing here. Since iOS calls every single image just "image.jpg" or "image.png" there is no way to upload several pictures with the same name.

This has GOT to be one of the most confusing threads of all time. The Control Center is exactly the same. The wallpaper behind it changes its look because of translucency.

Yes, for some reason OP cannot understand this.

I found this thread very confusing

However I think I may understand something now. Or have taken something of my own from it!

Isn't he saying that in the new ios8 beta 4 design, the white background of the buttons when they are ON is sometimes a little transparent and sometimes not at all, just solid white?

For me they are solid white no matter what is behind.

But some of the pics show hints of the background colour.

I feel like this is another older hardware things that happened with ipad 3 with the transparency on NC and CC.

I have an iphone 5 and the button when active is white while I think I have seen the A7 chips (ipad air, ipad mini 2, and iphone 5s have it transparent.

Thats what I have found at least.

Yeah this guy gets it. I have an iPhone 5 so they are solid white.

----------

You guys shouldn't be so harsh on apple blogger, he noticed something I hadn't seen anyone else comment on yet. Very astute.

I wasnt trying to be harsh. I think most of us who commented on this were trying to get the OP to understand there was a simple explanation but instead he kept posting new screenshots with differnt backgrounds under the control center. Either he's not getting it or he's trolling.

does not look bad at all, but my version is a bit better :D

I do prefer the 5S version over the 5. Hoping the 5 will get that later. But eh I'm getting a 6 in November :D

Perfectly hit my point.. I'm trying to tell exactly this

Thanx for that.. But it happend because I didn't clearly put my point..##

See! You got shades of background on your wifi and Bluetooth.. That's my point..

Well I think it's definitely got sonething to do with the device itself like 5S and 5 like someone mentioned earlier.. Or it could be a bug where some got only white

OP I think you're just reading too much into this. It really just depends on the background. I'm sure there might be a variation from the 4S to the 5/5s because of differences in the processor just like how the appearance of the Control Center in iOS 7 is slightly different on the 4/4s.
The attached screenshots are on the same background but at different positions on the screen. See variation in the color. The buttons look all white when the background is too light to show through.

Nope, for me the white buttons are always white whatever the background is. Please link to a mobile website we can both visit and bring our CC in front of, where yours are slightly transparent, and I'll show you how it looks on my phone.

try this:

Also note how the dark and the light sections are more contrasted in yours.

Here are my screenshots on the same website. iPhone 5s. I'm gonna venture a guess that rather than Apple playing with different versions of the new Control Center, there is a variation between the different models of iPhones. Are you using a 5 or 5c?

iPhone 5.

I don't know what you're disagreeing over.

Very confusing. I think we all agree, lol.

Yeah I missed that part of his post. I think everybody is finally on the same page. Now I wonder if there is going to be a difference between the 5s and the 6 when it comes to this stuff? MOAR TRANSLUCENCY :)

Resurrecting this thread becaide they totally butchered the look of Control Center on the iPhone 5s. Honestly it looks like crap now. Anybody else? Compare this screenshot to my previous post with a screenshot from beta 5. It was working just fine in beta 4 and now they made it uglier. My suspicion is that this was done on purpose so translucency looks much better on the iPhone 6. I really hope I'm wrong and beta 6 fixes it...

What's the difference?

Look closely at the pictures side by side and you can tell the second set has a whiter tint and is less translucent. Which in my opinion looks worse.

It is probably to improve readability, I've also noticed control center is smoother on my 4s with beta 5.

Nah, it was just fine on 5s before. I think it has more to do with the ability of the phone's processor to show a smooth translucency.
