Paramus, NJ walk in got there around 5:45am waited in really long line in the end walked out with one at 3:31 pm.

Apple store in UTC - San Diego, CA

I was #79 in line and received my iPhone after almost exactly 12 hours; lined up at midnight, got the phone at noon. It was a nightmare.

Oaks Mall, Thousand Oaks CA

Got to the mall at about 10:30 last night and 35 people or so were lined up. Went in to the mall at 6 and Apple opened at 7. I was out of the store at 9:30ish they were doing what felt like a 10 to 1 ratio of preorders to walk-ins.

AT&T Authorized Retailer store in Normal Illinois. I was second in line, got there 8pm Wednesday, and the store opened at 7am this morning. There were 7 guys who hung out all night, and then ~30 more people came within 2 hours of opening. Turns out they had 15 phones for pre-order people, and only 5 for walk-ins, and only 16 gig versions.

Ridgedale Mall, Minnetonka Minnesota

11:30 last night. I was right around 30. About 500 outside when mall doors opened. Moved up a couple when they split the line inside. They were taking people in almost exactly 1:1. I was home by 8:30.

Someone said they cut-off the walk in's at 7:45.

Wow, your ATT took walk-ins!?

Apple store in King of Prussia, PA
About 40th in line. Waited for around 6 hours in line, most of that time was spent mere feet from the doors of the apple store while we watched reservations stream in ahead of us.

I think Apple should be ashamed of the ratio the stores were using today for walkins/reserves....

I just might be the luckiest guy here. I went to the Apple Store at the Park City Mall in Lancaster Pa. I woke up at 3:45 and got to the mall at 4:45. I noticed the security guard telling all the cars that drove up they cant be there until 5:30. I moved my car around the back of the mall, walked right up to the door around 5 while the security guard was telling cars to move and just sat down.

No one saw me or told me to leave. After 20 minutes or so a news van pulled up and then another guy just mosied on over and said "hey first in line". Well that unleashed the flood gates. All of a sudden about 100 people ran up from who knows where and the line became HUGE. The security guards gave up and just let everyone wait. There were people around that mall from 6pm last night. I guess it was just perfect timing. I was FIRST in line and had no reservation.

I got interviewed by the local news haha. After they let us in the mall about 30-40 reserved people got to go first, and then around 7:30 they let me right in and I got my phones. I was out by 8am, best luck, timing, whatever you want to call it, ever! I have never seen anything like it, the lines were incredible, easily 4-500 people by 7am. All in all it was a great time and I have been home with my fiance enjoying our new phones!

Columbus OH Polaris ATT Authorized retailer. Got there at 630pm was promised they would have 16 gigs this morning. Went and ate some dinner with my girlfriend and checked the store no line so we went and saw Toy Story 3. Got back to the store at 12 first in line and walked out as a new customer activation at 730 this morning.

I called the Apple store on Easton told them i just wanted a bumper they said to just tell an employee in line and I wouldn't have to wait. Showed up to what had to be at least a thousand people in line at 900am. Wasn't allowed to get a bumper unless I waited on line so we left. Overall i feel lucky.
