Crazy morning. I was lucky and got immediately but the app crashing and now phones dates are slipping…sucks for some

Apple Pay failed for my Pre Pre-order so had to checkout normally, then input last 3 digits of card, then authorise in the app.
Stressful few minutes but got my order confirmation 13:04.

I wound up having to go through ATT for the same reason.

I went thru tmo app, which is usually pretty useless. Had the Apple Store up on my phone, Tmo on iPad. Placed orders for 2 phones via Tmo with 9/22 delivery. Better trade in by $80 on each phone than apple store too. What a mess.

‘I would not be wanting to be near an Apple Store next Friday. Not that big of a deal, my 14 PM is working fine, just disappointed in Apple for falling on their face! This will be the first time in 7-8 years that I did not get a new iPhone on opening day.

Best Buy still has them all available for pickup and delivery on 9/22. Ended up going with them because it was the smoothest site for me this morning ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apple has screwed up big time. Can not find my preorder, trade in system broken, can’t even but outright!

Now the store is DOWN!

i was hoping the app would load faster than the web.

this time round is vice versa.

the app just stuck at the apple logo while in the meantime i completed two orders from the web.

i feel the queue system is really broken, as i don’t understand how do they let people in

I've done Best Buy a few years now and never had an issue picking up on release day. Might just be the area you're in.
