Does anyone know if with these changes to mobile data shortcuts you can finally toggle data and Wi-Fi on/off automatically?

How about fixing the fastest iPhone ever made STUTTERING issue for hundredths (comments) and tens of thousands (real impact) of users?:

More urgent of them to fix the respring issues and then they can go for this. But I do agree it's quite odd sometimes

Raised blacks is not fixed. 12 Pro. I clearly see in the letter boxes when watching content. HBO Max. After clicking on the screen to bring up the translucent UI, the letter boxes glow green. Bah hum bug.

@brivvy1 I also don't get why they'd sooner draw up a Conchita Wurst emoji but still no bald-bearded male, which I'd wager represents a lot more people :/

I guess it's reflective of Apple's priority to identity politics than actual demographics.

You are probably not aware that apple only implements the emoji standard, they don’t CONTROL the emoji standard.

Unicode Consortium, who are they?

Then why is it Apple news front right and center like it matters?

The above is the original statement, where Apple was blamed criticized for something they probably have no control over. And maybe the consortium couldn't figure out if the demographic was bald-headed, small-chin, big nose people. Or bald-heads, bushy eyebrows, small nose, big chins.

One needs to get this stuff right, and not slam it into production. /s

For the Conchita Wurst emoji, I can't tell whether it was Apple or the Consortium (of which Apple is a voting member) to criticise for engaging in comically niche visual exercises like the bearded lady or the genderless Santa, before opting to represent larger demographic groups like bald men with beards.

Of all the Consortium voting members I see in the image above, I'd wager Apple may be the loudest voter in the room, seeing how actively they're promoting their emoji as a "feature", particularly the "diverse" ones. I don't think other companies care all that much.

All that is being said, there are fair things to criticize Apple for (like the handling of the performance management features in 10.2.2). Might as well go for those, instead of assuming and making stuff up.

Why can't we debate either? Why the need to deflect?

Good to see the emoji team tirelessly active as usual. Sure wish they would put one tenth of this effort into fixing bugs in Mail on iPadOS, which was revamped to a steaming pile in 14.
