I did some very quick testing by myself. The Photos app (in macOS) defaults to “Both Libraries” after you create a shared library, and if I switch to “Personal Library,” the photos I added are no longer there—they only appear in Shared Library. So at first glance, yes, it seems someone could simply delete the photos you move to the Shared Library. I would hope they would simply return to your Personal Library, although I did not test that. Absolutely horrible if they simply move to the trash, and would require you to make a duplicate of any photo you decide to share.
Interesting, thanks, - and yeah I figure a lot of testing is needed to decipher the behavior on many specific circumstances =/ this is the Apple style.....

I'm hoping if I choose "share only this face" it also allows for manual add-ups that do not include that face

Also curious if I can choose multiple faces, and if it'll share photos with only one of the multiple faces present in the photo

small thing: Battery widget bar if thats right word is changed (it is bigger) - also i hate that, earlier version was better 👎

Surely they could have upscale that clown fish wallpaper better… it’s awful quality.

Just joined the beta with this version and I gotta say I’m pretty underwhelmed with the selection of Lock Screen widgets, especially weather. Hoping there’s a third party answer to this by GM.

The widget will show the details when the owner of the phone looks at the screen due to Face ID recognizing them. This is how sensitive notifications already work in iOS 15 (their details are hidden until owner looks at iPhone).
We do get that. The hope is to have an option to see the Calendar widget information without unlocking the phone. I have my 'sensitive notifications' toggle turned off, so I don't need to pick up and tilt my phone to glance at incoming notifications.

I’m pretty sure the ability to blur the wallpaper on your Home Screen is new, yes?

In CarPlay, there is a new Siri activation sound. It’s more of a “dung” than the usual double deep we’ve had for years. This could be on iPhone as well, haven’t had a chance to test given all the settings I have around Siri making noise on my device.

Have so many concerns on my favorite feature: iCloud Library Sharing

1. Gotta say its sad this was the time to expand on more family members, but no, we big families are the big-expression-reason/inspiration for these features to exist; but get somehow left out. We should have a big role in promoting and legitimizing this features, it's just sad after so many years with 6 limit, its here again

2. "Moving photos" + "Everyone is able to edit/delete" sounds scary, so, will the photos I choose to share actually LEAVE my personal library and anyone who participates can edit/delete the only copy of the photo? sounds bad

3. What if I've shared many photos with my wife this previous years (airdrop or whatever) how does it handles duplicates? sounds like a huge potential mess (also, what if she edited some of the photos but you - the creator of the photo - like better the unedited version?)

4. "Whoever creates it (the shared library) provides storage for all content" < hmmm? so people I invite will eat up my iCloud Storage Subscription ... instead of Apple taking care of figuring if a participant is already paying for his/her own space and avoiding (at least for those items) to eat up my space?

5. How good is the face recognition algorythm? iOS15 f inds 700 photos of me, but Google Photos finds (and its accurate) 1,700........

6. How does it interact / implications vs Shared Albums?

7. Which data / quality would shared items have?

I'm sure there's more to consider ...
Elon? Is this you?

Clownfish didn't show up for me yesterday... Now I have it. Not sure if it was a restart or what.
Siri sound is only with headphones or car, Siri is still silent on the phone itself.

And we still don't have a "Clear All" button to clear all notificatins if we want to.
Instead we sometimes have to clear one at a time when the "X" button doesn't appear.
On top of that some notifications go in the background and you have to scroll up to see them.
Just something the phone decides to do.

Here's what I would like to see in an iOS 16:

1. redesign the notification center. It's ridiculous. At the very least add "Clear All" button immediately, even after even just one notification.

2. after Face-ID recognizes you, go directly into the phone home screen. You shouldn't have to swipe up after the phone recognizes you. Or at least make it possible to turn this off and on.

3. make it possible to dismiss Calendar and any notification from any app if you're in another app. You shouldn't have to swipe the notification up and then go back to the lock screen or be forced to tap it to get into the app sending it in order to simply dismiss a notification if you're in another app when it comes in.

4. when you're running a count down timer in the clock app you can see on the Lock Screen how much time is left, by all means make it possible to go directly to the the timer when you tap the time left on the Lock Screen. This is so much easier than to navigate to the clock app and cancel the timer there. Or how about this? When you tap the time left on the timer on the home scree give us the option to cancel it right there.

5. give us an LED visual for notifications in addition to sound and vibration. Allow us to change the colors of the LED light based on what the notification app is.
The fine folks who like things the way they are can just leave this off and everything will be as is.

6. give us an always-on screen for the clock. On the always-on screen we should also be able to choose if we want to see if we have any notifications (the amount and the app) or if we to just want to see the clock.
Once again, the people who don't like it should be able to turn it off. No more Apple forcing us to do stuff.

7. add haptic feedback to the keyboard and make it possible to customize different intensities to your heart's content.
It's beyond crazy that you have no feedback whatsoever if you're typing and the phone is on mute. Those who are concerned with battery or simply don't like this should be able to leave it off.

8. make it possible to adjust volume for independent apps and settings and not this general thing they're doing. Separate volume control for keyboard volume, music volume, ring volume, system volume, You Tube, notifications, emails.
I, for example, would like the keyboard clicks to be much louder than they are, in relations with the rest of the volume in the phone, but without it affecting the volume on the entire phone or the ring and notifications volume. It's silly of Apple to force it to be like this.

9. add suggestions from the address book as you start a phone number.
Common now Apple, this has been available for the last 15 years on Android.

10. make it possible to customize the texting app in every conceivable way. Font size, bubble size shape color etc.

11. make it possible to schedule a text message to be sent at a certain time/date. This is a basic feature. Compose your message now and schedule it to be sent when the time is right. I used to use this feature all the time when I had to text people who are in different time zones when they have to get the text at a certain time in their time zone but it's way too late for me to stay up to send the text.

12. use an OS-wide clipboard and make cut and/or copy not expire until you, the user, cleans it.
You should be able to copy text now and paste it tomorrow if you want to.
And 12b make it possible to copy multiple copy entries ready to paste any one of them by long pressing, at least the last 10 cut/copies should be possible.

13. in Mail give us the option to NOT go to the next email when you are deleting an email but to go back to the inbox. Those who want to keep things the way they are should be able to turn this feature off.

14. make it possible to move the icons on the desktop anywhere you want to.

15. make it possible (mandatory to app makers) to swipe from left to right in EVERY app to navigate back. Hitting a tiny arrow at the top on some apps to go back is nuts.

16. and my goodness Apple... when using snooze allow us to cancel it before it comes on if we want to.
