Everything New in iOS 18 Beta 4

These betas have been the worst I've seen for crashing/memory leaks. And I've been toying with betas forever.

Edit: The crashes continue on my phone. *sigh* Guess I'll test my iPad when I get home.

I've not had any myself, i think the betas (phone and watch) have been fine for that in my opinion.

Try rebooting your phone, that seems to have fixed the brightness bug on my end

This brightness bug is INSANELY annoying.

Brightness issues persist with my 14 Pro as well. Hard rebooted twice, still the same. Very annoying can’t see anything!!!

I switched on the always on display and the screen brightness issue has gone away for me (iPhone 14 Pro). It’s obviously using up more battery but it’s a workaround which is working for me.

I have been using the beta the last several weeks and find very few bugs appearing and no apps fail to load yet. Impressed compared to 3-4 years ago where even the release versions were buggy. Nice that they are doing a better job with quality control for iOS

This has been my experience with the iPad OS Public Beta. Thusfar, I've had no problems whatsoever—new features that don’t yet work perfectly, yes ; features that worked in iPad OS 17 but are now broken, no. I'm very glad I took the leap. New features in Notes and Calculator are awesome!

I’m still on 3rd beta. The brightness issue was already an issue for me in an iPhone 14 Pro.

I have however not seen it during the last hours, which makes me think the issue lies in bright/dark mode somewhere.

I recall having had zero brightness upon unlocking in the time dark mode must have been on.

Thus, perhaps we can find a workaround in that way. Toggling dark mode on and off, or perhaps not having it set automatically.

Will dive into this 4th iteration now!

The wallpaper section inside Settings has been reworked with a carousel kind of. I dunno if that was in the 3rd beta already?

Just updated from PB 1 on my 15 plus and the exclusive wallpapers for this phone (the ones with the bubbles) are gone. They used to be in the collections section in the Lock Screen but they won’t appear now. It doesn’t even let me change the color or style on the one I already had saved. Has this happened to anyone else? Hopefully they bring these back.
