It is hard to read the time!.
This school project has gone too far!.
You are breaking usability.
You are choosing form over function!.
Johnny Ive’s legacy lives on I guess.
Next time we are going to have blending texts on everything to make iOS 27 impossible to navigate without onscreen reader.

Because they are harder to see.

That's the definition of prioritizing form over function.

Nobody is debating that they still "do the toggle thing they are supposed to do when pressed".

It's an animation of glass when moving from one state to the other. You can close your eyes entirely, you don't need the animation to know anything, the toggle doesn't remain glass.

If you have issues seeing the image below, then I'd assume you have extremely bad vision loss (probably legally blind) and I'd imagine you would be using all of the high contrast and larger display settings from the accessibility features.

A purpose-built app to view and mark up files instead of manage them. Files that can be opened in Preview now open in the Preview app.
My partner had to fill out, sign & save a PDF recently.

She had to do it on my Mac as it was impossible to do it on iOS 18.

Why?

Because the Mac has Preview app.

iOS - a guest mode (kid mode) just like the Mac and a repair mode, like Samsung has.
iPadOS - all of the above + proper multiple users. You know, like Unix first had in the early 1970s.

Good ideas !

I would also like the following separate personal spaces for iOS iPhone -

- default
- no track
- alternate
- kiosk
