Everything New in the iOS 16 Weather App

Is there anything here for those not in America - ie. the use of local Bureau of meteorology sources, so that, you know, the weather App can accurately perform its main function?……

Speaking on behalf of Australians who never get accurate weather via this App, nor Google’s weather predictor.

Maybe they’re getting their results from the apprentice at the Bureau of Meteorology then because they just don’t match up with the actual B.O.M. information. More than likely they’re getting some info, but at least NOT the temperature.

I mistyped: I meant to type dew point. Relative humidity is not an issue. But relative humidity is rather pointless without knowing the dew point. I truly hope whatever idiot in the United States decided that relative humidity would be more important than dewpoint is rotting in hell.

Yeah. I agree. Rotting in hell is an appropriate punishment for someone who favours Relative Humidity.
Saying that, you could easily work it out.

Calculate relative humidity RH using the formula, RH = 100 × {exp[17.625 × Dp/(243.04 + Dp)]/exp[17.625 × T/(243.04 + T)]}.​

You just need to rearrange the formula to show Dew Point. I ain’t doin it!​

It couldn’t be simpler 😂😂

Thanks, yeah I’d since found that source, though it’s clear they’re not using BOM figures. Not sure why they’ve listed it there, as they’re always way off, as @steve09090 mentions.

I ended up swapping to Carrot Weather, I get accurate weather as an Aussie and a lot of snark. Great app.

I’ve noticed that when clicking on the radar display to open into full screen I no longer show precipitation for my location and surrounding area. The air quality and temperature work.

What iOS version do you have? I just checked on 16.3 RC (public beta), it’s working correctly here. (Central Europe if that matters… but it’s showing data across the globe too when I move across the map)
