It depends how desperate one is to reset the control centre.

The only way (currently) is to "reset all settings", which is very much a whole pile of sledgehammers to crack a nut.

Surely with the added customization, even you two can get control center pretty much how you like it, even if what you will do to customize is to strip out all the new options introduced in iOS 18

To me, it sounds like a win all around, assuming it is implemented in an intuitive and easy to use way.
The last part of your sentence is what is pertinent , that it be implemented in an intuitive and easy way to use. The more choices, the more clutter, and the less easy to use. But I do appreciate that there are others who have other needs and wants. For Myself, all those emojis and all the choices that have come in settings, etc. etc. just makes it more cluttered. And that destroys the ease of use. But then, at my age, it is more difficult to figure stuff out.

I love and support the intention behind it. Having the option to customize is fantastic. On the other hand, I hate the implementation. The visuals are not great (the circles). there is so much in consistency between the styles. it's as if each department had their own interpretation of UI for the new control center.

Do we really need multiple screens in control centre? Why make it so complicated? The transparent background looks pretty ugly too, hope it can be toned down.

But really, control centre on iOS was pretty good already. It’s macOS that badly needs improvement/rework (along with the entire macOS system settings app).
What's so complicated about it? If you want one screen you can just remove the others... and also you can just... not swipe down to the other screens. It's really very simple.

You could probably create a shortcut to toggle it and add that to the lock-screen. I don't know if it'll work without the phone being unlocked though - worth a try.
I did that but it just feels like a step not needed, they have it with dark mode

At what point does the Control Center merely replicate all of the settings/features of iOS or the home screen? What a ridiculous exercise to keep selling phones and project managers employed.

Can anyone tell me if they've added back this feature? Long press the Home icon to bring up a page with all your rooms and controls already organised as they are in the Home app? Because when I tried beta 1 the only option seemed to be to manually recreate it, piece by piece

I wish Apple would introduce a setting where you could turn off the ability to swipe left on the lock screen to open camera. I've lost count of how many times I've done this. Annoys the s**t out of me.

Is that ring/silent icon unique to 14 and up? That’s screen sharing on my 13 Pro. And the screen sharing icon doesn’t appear in the screenshot.

Looking forward to new control center.

Yeah but can you turn bluetooth off yet without going into settings?

It’s used for so many things besides actual Bluetooth devices though. If you have no other Apple devices and you don’t pair any Bluetooth devices except rarely, why not just go into settings to toggle it?

If you have the settings app on your Home Screen, you can even go straight to Bluetooth settings from the quick actions long press menu.

I usually have Bluetooth off, and only turn it on when (rarely) I listen to music on the go.

I suppose I could just keep it on, but it's habit to turn it off from ye olden days when it had a battery impact.

I've created a Bluetooth toggle shortcut which now has pride of place in my control centre.

Having a page to quickly access all the HomeKit stuff would be great.
That‘s what the home app is for!

I don’t use control center for HomeKit because I detest how iOS (Siri) shuffles buttons around all the time. Completely defeats muscle memory. At least if I open the home app, everything’s right there in fixed positions.
