My favorite case since the iPhone 6 is available now for the iPhone XS Max 6.5 inch. The Evutec AER Karbon black (and a few variations) will be available at Target starting 10/14. The guy in the tech dept. was cool enough to pull one from the back for me.

In the past, there’s been questions of which is the better case, Evutec or Pitaka. I lean towards the Evutec for the following reasons:

  • Full four side coverage
  • Gripped ridges on the side to make it easy to pick up and hold
Outside of the comparison, here’s a few other reasons I like the case in general:
  • Really thin case, only 0.7mm thick
  • Includes magnetic car mount with metal plate built into case. (Does not interfere with wireless charging)
  • Protective for at least 6 ft. Dropped my phone plenty of times in the past onto concrete with no damage
  • Slips in and out out pockets easily yet still is grippy to hold from sides and back
  • 100% real carbon fiber
  • Just enough lip to protect the front but does not interfere with side and bottom gestures (I have a iCarez 3D screen protector on so that helps lift it up as well)
While their customer service is not very good, they make such a darn good case that I let it go.

FYI seems like the bamboo and the Northill series will be in stock same date.

Nice !

Might be heading over to Target tomorrow.

Not too sure about "real" carbon fiber though.

What's the price?

Not sure what the technical qualifications are to be called carbon fiber but they do use aramid fibers just like Pitaka. See verbiage from box in attached pic.

Case is $39.99.

This was my favorite case for iphone x. Im concerned it might be too bulky for the xs max and now I am used to the sheath. Ill have to check it out tomorrow for sure. Thanks for the heads up!

Girl at our local Target says they don't have it and won't have it tomorrow either. Are all Target stores suppose to have this tomorrow?

No idea, I had a super helpful person in the tech dept. He pulled out his Zebra inventory device, searched Evutec and found it on there and then went in the back for like 10 minutes going through boxes to find it. You’ll probably need to do the same otherwise they won’t know.

My Target dude was useless. He said it didn’t tell him where so I was SOL. I explained it was in back. He begrudgingly said he’d look, cane back and said he couldn’t find it but their was some boxes not open and he didn’t want to open them.

He didn’t want to find it from the start.

Obviously at no official capacity to comment but I’d say I bet so

So, which do YOU like best between Pitaka and Evutec?
It is not easy
iPhone is looking so good in Pitaka it is amazing but minimalistic case with minimal protection
Evutec is more practical (still good looking) especially taking into account iPhone repair cost

So safety over beauty... I am looking for Evutec for my new iPhone Xs (currently using iPhone leather midnight blue )

Do you have Pitaka car mount? Can you compare Pitaka car mount VS Evutecs?
