Sorry, kinda repost.
Oh. MY GOD.
Thank the lord. The battery life on my one and a half year old 3G is beyond abysmal.
Finally someone posted a sharp comparison pic for the screen.
I love this. I can't wait to see this screen in person.
Can't wait for tomorrow
this is going to be great.
So 30+ hours of battery life, and they can't allow 3rd party apps to use background data services?
Did they jailbreak the iPhone 4 to get the battery % or is that just a pic of a jailbroken 3GS?
I don't think u need a jail broken iPhone the % was added to the 3gs
That's been around since the 3GS came out.
Are you sure? I only have a 3G so I guess I wouldn't know but seems like a feature that could be given to 3G users also.
Where is the setting to enable it?
That is a 3GS feature. You can enable it in the usage page in settings.
3GS and above only for native iOS.
You can probably get one for 3G via jailbreak/cydia.
Now I feel stupid. One more reason to jailbreak my 3G I guess.
Even better get an iPhone 4
Yeah but with no reservation chances of getting one soon are getting slimmer and slimmer.
Its extremely innacurate on 3G.
Good to know.
Go to Settings > General > Usage > Batter Percentage on a non jail broken device.
Frankly the way they've implemented multitasking is a big reason the battery life runs so long...they minimize the resources used to only those necessary rather than everything. Brilliant!
I have to admit the battery life on this phone is amazing! Can't wait until the contract between ATT and Apple expire!
We already discussed how that doesn't work on a 3G. Thanks though!
30 hours, including all the time it was on standby.
It could easily have been given to 3G users. There were lots of excuses why a year ago, but theyre lame. The claim that it is wildly inaccurate is ridiculous. I use this feature on my jailbroke 3G.
Engadget clocked 38 hours.
