My iTunes currently keeps all mp3s in millions of subfolders under iTunes/Music with folder for every album, artist, etc... I want do move all mp3s to a single folder. How do I do this the quickest?

Also I did try to select all in iTunes and clicked copy than opend finder and selected Move, but it only wants to move 98objects but I selected 5000+ objects in iTunes.:confused:

The best solution is to keep your .mp3 files where they are and stop worrying about it. If you move these files to a different place, you will then have to tell iTunes where they are, because it isn't going to find them. Why do you care where the files are stored?

I think the real question is why do you want to put them all in a single folder?

I dont know why itunes wouldn't find files if I moved them? I tried for those 98 mp3s and it plays them without problem.
I used to have them in one folder long time ago and moved them around and iTunes has no problem with that as I can remember. (I have a mac)

Now for the why: its because other programs have difficulty searching in a folder that has so many subfolders (ableton, traktor,..)

It would take me too long to go thro all the folders picking the mp3s 1 by one as most of them are 1 file per folder.. and than pasting them to a new location. I would somehow like to suck all the mp3s from subfolders of 1 folder and than move them. :p:p
