TCL display is supposed to be great but both hardware (low end processor, poor cameras) and software (stability issues, very low frequency of updates) are reportedly lacking. That makes me very unexcited about owning one despite the display. If the TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra was available in the USA, I'd buy one immediately.

i bought an brand new TCL 60 XE from market place about month ago. I find the screen very easy on the eyes initially, but not that great later on. May be they change something with update. Originally my dad was using the phone, so i decided to do factory reset and use it myself. After factory reset, now the phone doesn't detect sim card and doesn't show IMEI number in phone status. I reached out to TCL as phone should be under warranty, since I don't have any official receipt they refused to help. Phone is brick after one month of use. I will personally stay away from MediaTek chip, phone was bit slow. Now its restart itself once a while, while we try to use only on Wi-Fi. I am back to 6 years old iPhone 11, that still does the job. I wanted to try Motorola Power, but the MediaTek chip is making me hold on due to bad experience with TCL.TCL display is supposed to be great but both hardware (low end processor, poor cameras) and software (stability issues, very low frequency of updates) are reportedly lacking. G9QWell … tried the iPhone 17.
Didn’t feel as good as my iPhone 16e. Made me feel a bit uncomfortable. More occurrences of head pressure and headaches. The panel was a G9N.
The iPhone 16e is G9Q.

Interesting. Are they easily available in other countries and would those work in the US? Wondering if it makes sense to inconvenience a friend traveling to Asia. That phone still uses some form of PWM/TD.
The 60 Ultra is the only phone they claim to be free of these.
Any tweaks or you just use it out the gate? After two months with the iPhone 17 Pro Max,
I still have no problems. It works perfectly. I'm still thrilled.
My iPhone 8 Plus didn't bother me for 1 year - then something happened with a software update and I couldn't use it anymore. Would instantly trigger erratic heartbeats. After two months with the iPhone 17 Pro Max,

A few users on this thread commented that the Slim bothered them the leastAre some models worse than others this year. Is the base 17 and Pro Max more likely to have a problematic screen?
Slim?A few users on this thread commented that the Slim bothered them the least
AirSlim?
I think it’s most likely related to the way PWM flicker can trigger stress responses in the central nervous system.I experience that too, does it also have to do with ui being hdr?

iPhone 17, G9Q.Remind me what iPhone you got and screen panel ?
Have you noticed one feels better to use?You can't say for sure. Everyone experiences it differently.
I have an LG and a Samsung display here, and neither gives me any problems.
For me, the PWM switch solved all my problems, and I can finally use any iPhone 17.😍
Do you set your brightness at a certain level, any tweaks besides pwm switch? No, both feel perfect.
