I rarely make purchases off of Cydia, I believe I've only bought one thing. The reason is because my iPhone may not always be jailbroken; there's no reason to spend money on something that I may not have available on my phone at all times.

This is nonsense logic to make you feel better about being cheap.

Difference on how calls appear

My related question is this, Why do some calls appear on the iPhone with the ACCEPT or DECLINE screen while others have the Slide to accept option. It is not associated with whether its locked or not for I rarely lock my phone. Is it because callers are in the call history o contact folder perhaps?

My opinion:
You people are cheap Sons of bitches. I mean, really. One dollar. One. Dollar. You'd pay more than that to get a bag of chips. Either buy it, make a better version yourself (heh, that'll happen, noobs), or shut the eff up. Your choice.
Get a job, hobos,
Zapp.

Thanks! Such an expanded vocabulary you have there. I guess since jb is free and all, they are hoping people start paying for apps and what not. It's a tweak really, nothing major or significant to be made worthy of a purchase. You forgot to mention 1 other option for people, Don't Buy It.

I'd really like to see a Developer have a option to buy a App but have all or at least some the proceeds go to a charity like say St. Judes or another good charity. this is a fairly minor tweak.

I also won't pay 99 cents for a fart app in the apple store but maybe that's just me. if it's worth .99 cents I will by it this is not imo and others.

slide to answer appears if phone is locked. answer/ decline appears if phone is not locked.

so yes, it is related to whether or not the phone is locked. perhaps you have auto lock switched on, si you don't realize the phone's locked?

Most people paid $200+ for the phone running this app. .99 cents is cheap to probably 95% of iPhone owners. It's not about the damn price, it's about what we are being forced to pay for. MANY people have purchased MyWi at it's $20 price tag because it's WORTH IT. A tweak that actually isn't such a great idea shouldn't be worth .99 cents.

BTW, I like the idea of the home button being used to reject the call. It would be nice to see that offered as a user-selectable option.

Anyway, hate to resurrect an old thread here, but I actually bought EZDecline off Cydia and problem is, the app doesn't WORK! (I'm using a iP2G, running 3.1.2). I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc, but no luck. The 'slide to unlock' message still appears when locked.

Worse, the developer hasn't responded to my e-mail, and apparently doesn't maintain a web-page offering support, etc. My only chance of getting the $0.99 back is filing a claim with PayPal (and no, it's not the money, but the principle: the idea of a dev who potentially can sell a buggy non-working app as a passive income stream just rubs me the wrong way....).

So far, I'm not really impressed with Cydia. I've sent an e-mail to saurik, and we'll see what happens.

Slide= accept
Hit sleep button = decline

Not needed tweak is not needed

I prefer the volume button to "decline" because it mutes the ring and the person thinks you simply aren't there. If you hit the sleep button then it completely declines the call and they know you are there and you might have "accidentally" declined their call thus making them call back.

Hitting the sleep button once mutes the call, pressing it again declines it.

So if you press the sleep button just once it will mute the call, same as pressing the volume buttons.

By locked we mean where you have to "Slide to Unlock" - doesn't matter if you've put in a password or not.

So basically if you're actively using the phone (on the home screen or in an app) you get the A/D buttons.
