Amazing that something as innocuous as a dark mode gets a first post that's negative.
Don't like it, don't use it.
Why even bother commenting.

Fo those who do have a dog in the fight, I'm sure it's a welcome change.

Because people have to complain about SOMETHING.

It's hard for most people just to ignore it, instead they have to give their opinion.

Can’t wait to see how this new dark mode feature will somehow leak or exploit our data/privacy further. This is the only excuse of why it then so damn long to implement it (especially when there other apps Instagram and Messenger have had it for a long time now)

That being said, it needs to be brought to the mobile website as I refuse to put their app back on my phone.

No Dark Mode for me either. But then again, I was seemingly one of the last to get Dark Mode on Google.

When this was first reported on MacRumors, I checked my Facebook app on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and was very excited to see that Dark Mode was suddenly available. I immediately enabled it and have been using it that way ever since. Until today.

This afternoon I launched Facebook on my phone and suddenly Dark Mode was gone. No sign of it in my Facebook settings either.

Facebook giveth, Facebook taketh away.

So later that evening I checked the App Store updates and there was a Facebook update. I applied the update and Dark Mode in Facebook returned. Over the weekend, I had the need to power down my phone. Upon startup and going back to Facebook, Dark Mode was gone again - including the setting to enable it. A little while later, Dark Mode returned and it was already enabled as it had been configured too.

Whatever is going on, its all being controlled by Facebook and not really a local setting.

We are all pawns in the Zuckerverse.

Wow... Took them literally YEARS to switch the colors to darker shades of grey. What a shame.

And of course my account will be on the tail end of getting it if it ever does. Don't even know if I ever got Avatars, and GMail dark mode took forever

Has this just disappeared for anyone else? I hadn’t been on for a week or so and it’s now only light mode and no way to change it. I’ve reinstalled the app as well but nothing.
