It may not be popular here in America but in other countries..Facebook is life.

I'm deleting my Facebook account.

In addition to the 'see less from' button not working AT ALL and more and more ads being shoved in my face everyday, I made a comment on a news site about the Apple vs FBI case this morning. Of course in order to comment I had to log in with my Facebook account and I stupidly answered Yes to the 'we access your public profile' warning. Not 15 bloody minutes later and I'm getting phishing emails from a bogus Apple address saying my iCloud account has been compromised and to click on a link to re-enter all my information.

Screw you Facebook!

This is good news. It's great to be able to respond more appropriately. "Oh, your grandmother died?" LIKE; "Oh, North Korea has launched a test missile?" LIKE. I'm not sure that we need all 6 emotions, but like, sad, and angry are needed. I'm not sure how I feel about how they all look though. The faces all look a little off, but of course time will make us used to them.

No, facebook has been saying for a while they don't want to implement a dislike feature, because that will have a more negative connotation.

Not everything can or should have a positive connotation. That's not how life works.

I just want a return of the downvote button on MacRumors so I can tell MacRumors editors how much I dislike some of their front page stories that have nothing at all to do with Apple. I suppose my ad blocker will have to do instead.

Meanwhile, Apple is in the fight of its life for our civil liberties which could very well determine the the course of human civilization. Either we'll have a global police state where your thoughts and ideas are increasingly controlled and monitored and dissent is impossible, or we'll finally break free of the shackles of government and groupthink and have our individuality and human sovereignty respected and preserved everywhere. But sure, let's talk more about Facebook's latest scheme to mine your emotional states for profit on a site ostensibly dedicated to another company entirely.

Of course there's no downvote button. Facebook knows you guys, along with the rest of the internet, are a toxic bunch, who seek out things just to proclaim how much you hate them.

Android update is up with the functionality. And it's buggy as hell, not a good first impression.

I think FB was too late to implement these reactions, I know a social network called Chaino.com that already provided these reactions 3 years ago.

So if another social network has had something why is it too late for another one to get it for it to be useful for the people that use that social network?
