Facebook for iOS Update Adds Timeline, Other Improvements

I was curious as to see my timeline in detail (you can choose an option to see everything you've posted including stuff on other people's walls), so I went through it one evening and deleted everything that was older than 6 months, apart from photos. Some pretty silly posts from 5 years ago which I'm glad I've deleted.

Call me weird, but lately I'm trying to tone down my presence on Facebook, and the less history there is on there, the better. I just wish there was an option to keep things that are only a month old, and after that they get deleted.

Be interesting to see what the main reaction is once it goes live for everyone tomorrow (22nd).

The app still loads slowly and hangs up quite a bit. The interface is much better but performance is still suffering.

I'm guessing it'll be along the lines of "OMG FACEBOOK WHAT IS THIS WHY ARE YOU CHANGING THINGS AGAIN?!" followed by messages saying "Timeline? What timeline?" a day afterwards 🙄
 
Notifications stopped working for me since update to 4.1.

I stopped receiving notifications after I updated the app to the latest version. In Settings > Notifications > Facebook I have all setting activated, and in Settings > Facebook > Push notifications I have everything to ON.

Notifications on the Lock Screen stopped appearing, the Facebook icon has no badge although there is definitely activity on my Timeline and Chat.

I'm logged in all the time, but the app just doesn't seem to work in the background. When I open it I can see pending notifications and messages showing.

Anyone experiencing the same issue? Thanks for reading my post.

Have you tried turning it off and on again (the phone, that is)?
 
looks like we wont see timeline on the iPad till january at the earliest... since apple is now on vacation and wont be approving apps.
