To everyone who is looking to sync facebook emails with your contacts and don't have the old facebooksync app, there is another easy way to do it.

Yahoo and facebook have an agreement where facebook allows yahoo to import emails addresses to their contacts.

1. Set up Yahoo! account;
2. Go to contacts and import your facebook friends with their email addresses;
3. Export your new contacts from yahoo;
4. Import them into your gmail account. Here I do some editing/merging/deleting to tidy up my contacts;
5. Sync gmail with iPhone;
6. Use one of the facebook sync apps to import photos.

You're done :)

You can also sync your iPhone with Yahoo, but I use gmail contacts exclusively, hence I went through steps 3-5.

It is my understanding (from the Smart Sync website) that:

Smart Sync does not sync email addresses.

The problem is that Facebook does not share this information (phone numbers / email addresses) of your Facebook friends with 3rd party applications using their Facebook Connect API - probably because of privacy considerations. All applications must use the Facebook Connect API to retrieve data from Facebook. Retrieving information in "other" ways violates the Facebook Terms of Use - It's illegal.
