This worked for me:

Basically, deleting the "Facebook for iPhone" app under Application Settings (from either a computer or Safari).

yeah same here, didn't delete anything, just started working again.

yep, looks like it was just a server issue with the app. No deletion needed.

FB was working all day for me but it wouldnt stay on tonight and it was right around the time this thread was started. It would load briefly then go back to my home screen.

it's working properly now.
it must've been a server glitch/problem.
more iOS4 users must've started using it

It happened to me today when I was checking it at work! Thank God, I thought I was the only one.
