Am I the only one that's going to miss auto-tagging of photos? I've conceded (like most here) that they already have my information, and now, probably hundreds of other companies.

If they already have it, why not at least let us keep using one of the few parts that's good about it?

Because you fail to see or understand the bad side of it such as being targeted by Trump or the GOP for money or how about the NSA who will see you as a threat to society simply because they say so, I could go on.

You know they have been running facial recognition on your driver's license and passport for decades now, right?

Then according to you there would have been no use for Prism then but we know thanks to Snowden that it happened.

Stil facial recognition. Photos tags everyone in library, some of whom I’ve never created tags for. It’s all the same bit, just different practices.

Except it is not the same thing! Not at all, not ever and not even close!
Apple can not use that info to sell to other parties whereas Facebook can and HAVE!

Well, they shut down Mr. D. Trump because they didn't like him. They give people bans, known as being in Facebook jail for varying periods of time for posting comments they don't like.

They shutdown Trump because he kept violating their TOS big difference. Get your facts straight! When you don’t follow the rules you get the boot. Same for you and I. The President doesn’t get some immunity as he thinks he should get from their TOS.
