Did anyone else notice that it still SUCKS!!!!! Their website has been garbage lately too so I am not sure what else to expect from an app.

Nope, I don't have it in mine either. No tagging, no link sharing.

I tried deleting and reinstall, no luck.

In settings Facebook is listed as version 3.5a

I'm having the same problem. Updated the app and nothing changed. I reinstalled and nothing changed. I even uninstalled, restarted my iPhone and then reinstalled the app and nothing changed. My iPhone apps aren't synced with my computer so I can't install from iTunes.

Round of applause for another wonderful facebook update.

For those who don't see the people tagging etc, has your desktop Facebook been updated to the 'new' features announced about 1-2 weeks ago? Your status box should look like this when in use:

Here's the overview of the features. I'm assuming that if your profile hasn't yet been updated then you can't access these features on the App, but will be once you receive the update.

Not the best update for me. Is anyone else getting this? They moved the "Chat" icon to the next page and for some dumb reason, duplicated the "Photos" icon (both of which lead to the same group of albums.) Yes, I've deleted and reinstalled; same issue.
Same here, and I also don't get the new status box. So there are two annoyances in one here, unfortunately. :( Deleting and reinstalling now, but not hopeful from other reports where it didn't help.

Ahh, this is probably why. Thanks!

I seem to be last in line in getting that update.

Update: Deleting and reinstalling actually fixed my duplicated "Photos" icon though, so that was nice.

Weird. I don't have that problem. You could move the extra photos icon to the second page and move the chat icon back

Still feel kinda slow to me. When looking at photos, from a friends gallery, and scrolling through them sideways it seems sluggish.

So far, it still isn't up to par with me.

Then they shouldn't advertise or list the features on the iOS app (or at a minimum list them with a disclaimer). Stupid FB

I've been checking the App Store for updates regularly, specifically hoping for an update to the Facebook app. For something I'm compelled to use so often, it is such a buggy, unstable POS.

The new version seems better, but still has issues. Loading photos seems to take a long time still. At least the update and notification logic is less maddening now, I don't have to constantly re-refresh the page.

As for the iPad, when I owned one, I just visited the regular website; I didn't see a real need for an app. Other than support for photo uploads, what benefit would an iPad app offer?

wtf is taking so long for iPad support??? i could have done it by now!!

I QUIT using Facebook this summer because we were sailing on our boat all summer and as soon as I took pictures and video on my iPad and discovered I could NOT post to Facebook, I quit going to Facebook. I had no way of keeping everyone back home up on our trips. Im not computer savvy enough to know if it's Facebooks fault or iPads fault but it seems obvious that people will want to post from iPad to Facebook!!! Lame...

I updated and it kept crashing on my 3gs. Removed and reinstalled and it was fine. Lost my page links though, I had to put them back.

hey ho.

R.

I didn't realize that was a rolling update. Now it makes sense ... sort of. Why they would link mobile app features with web app GUI updates makes no sense to me.

Congratulations Facebook! You have succeeded in making your horrible app even worse than it was before. I can't wait to see what your next "update" does for us.

It is WAY past time for Facebook to bring out their Facebook for iPad app. Other developers are valiantly trying to fill the gap but Facebook changes their coding so often it's hard for them to keep up. At least if Facebook had an iPad app out there you can be sure they'd make sure any changes were reflected in their app whenever they change their web front. (Maybe)

Does anyone know how to tag someone within a post or status. For example, if I wanted to say:
Can't believe how much Joe Bloggs loves chicken.
How would I do that using the app. Because with the +Friend button everyone is talking about, it would say:
Can't believe how much loves chicken. - with Joe Bloggs

You can do it on the website by just typing their name, but I can't see the option to do it in the app.

Am I the only one to notice that you can not longer post replies to people in groups with this new update? This is a huge pain since I post in groups set up by my friends alot and it seems you can't downgrade to the older app.

I can't believe they would release an update that disables your abilities to post. Honestly.

That was my favorite part. It actually works well ... for now. It always seems to go downhill a month later.

Also, you still can't use the system wide copy function. That's just plain lame. You also can't like individual comments app wide still (it doesn't show up if looking at comments from the notifications tray).

Status > icon directly above Q and W keys to the left of the Places icon. It's the left most icon and looks like a person with a +

Facebook is fail; I still don't see it...
