Facebook's Native iPad App Leaked

What makes the iPhone app so terrible? I see this stated a lot here, and maybe I'm not a heavy enough user of the app to see where the major flaws are, but I'm curious now.
You are in the minority.
Most people hate it due to the chat being a massive failure, notifications not appearing/disappearing, many many many many crashes when viewing feeds and links. And there are a lot more.
Just because YOU havent encountered any app breaking bugs doesnt mean that no one else has. Just look that the ********** ratings in the App Store, it speaks for itself.
The web version will always be better unless they completely redesign the app from scratch.
Facebook on iPhone
The Facebook App for iPhone, is ok, generally the occasional crash is all... the only thing that really bugs me about it, is that you can send people pokes.... but you can't see what pokes you've received so its really annoying having to log into the web version as well as using the normal one!

I've had the iPhone app crash 3 times on me already today. Most recently, when I hit "send" upon updating my status.
I've completely turned off notifications because they are unreliable. I depend on the text notifications.
Half the time when you go to a comment notification for a picture, it will take you to the wrong picture (or not load the comments).
Also, it would be nice to be able to "like" reply comments throughout the entire app.
Don't get me started on chat.
With so many fantastic apps out there for iPhone, I cannot believe Facebook is neglected like this. I thought the Android app was bad, but this actually may be worse.

For those of you with a working facebook app, you are lucky. It's broke for most of us.
These are my biggest complaints...
Notifications have barely worked for me since the day they introduced it. I'd say easily only 1 out of 10 of my notifications actually make it through. I normally just open the app every so often to check them. I don't wait for a popup. All other apps have perfectly fine working notifications, so the problem is not Apples fault.
Comments for photos vary rarely update for me when going through the notification screen. Happens sometimes even with normal posts.
Lately I been using the web interface more and more. At least that works when I want to see updated comments for posts. And it looks almost exactly the same as the app anyways.

Tried activating this as explained in the instructions, but every time I launch the app on my ipad it just crashes instantly and goes back to the home screen. I'm curious and would like to try it out, but I guess I will just wait, unless someone else had this issue and knows of a fix?
I note there’s no comments (one just above me) here about the hack to make the iPad version accessible not working for a lot of people. Trying to work out how to get it going, but all I’m getting is crashes

I guess outlets like TechCrunch confirming with their sources that this is the version that Facebook plans to release is fake too. I also suppose that these instructions are fake as well?

I've been pretty happy with Friendly for the iPad. I don't use it nearly as much at the iPhone app so I haven't noticed if it's as buggy but it sure looks nice and is well laid out.
The iPhone app for me is horrible. As stated by others, the notifications are garbage. I'll get a notification that someone has commented on my photo. I click the notification, it goes to the photo and I see no comments. Photos disappear from the app but are present on the full site, managing events is crap, duplicates need to be cleaned out of the Check In feature (I've reported some multiple times), the inbox for messages is buggy.
I convinced my GF to swtich from android to an iPhone 4 and she's bitching about the Facebook app. Rolling my eyes I tell her it's FB's fault and they're working on it.

"Unable to connect to Facebook. Please try again later."
Can access facebook.com through safari fine. Wonder if fb have disabled access?

you need to completely restart your iPad (power off and turn it on again) to see the change.
People with Facebook for iPhone have the problem where you are at your wall, see a status you want to comment on and hit the + and then comment. You type in your comment then it says "No Network"?
It can be reproduced at will. I have to wait until someone else comments before I can. That, to me, is unusable.

Issues with the iPhone app? Where to begin?
Aside from the numerous crashes, and status updates & comments not posting, my news feed is in random order. I get posts from 2 minutes ago posting after posts from several hours ago, and mixed in with posts from 3 days ago.
I don't care about anything else, I just want my @#$! news feed to display in the correct order!

Make sure you have "most recent" in the upper right and not "top news". i've noticed my app defaults to "top news" every once in awhile and that will throw off the feed. definitely a bug.
