Is there anything that Zuckerberg won't steal?
Does he think Leviticus 25.44 though 46 are still in effect?

for those of us who have to have meta apps for messaging/work, don’t forget that you can limit access to the photos it has access to! it’s super easy to just hit manage and check the ones you want, and saves you the sinking feeling that zuck is sucking up all of your family photos. Mark is the AI, he is running low on fun type data and needs more entries to make him human-like. 🥸I think you have more confidence than the rest of us that any of these settings are actually being respected.
I know some many people are afraid or have FOMO, but quitting Facebook/Instagram was the best thing. I share worthwhile pictures via iMessage with real friends (and have geniune non-public conversations with them).
Stop using Meta and stop feeding them your data.
I'm not in the CIA. I don't need the "highest level of security". Neither do you.and for the highest level of security - don't use Facebook or any other Meta tool/service. Simple.
All your everything belong to us….
Meta is adding a new AI-based collage and photo editing tool to Facebook, and it's rolling out starting today. The opt-in feature scans your camera roll for your best photos and videos, uploads those images to the cloud, then uses AI to create "fun collages and edits."

Facebook will suggest photo collages, recaps, AI restyling, or themes like birthdays, graduations, and trips. Once you opt in, the AI works behind the scenes on an ongoing basis and will randomly suggest photo and video edits for you to post. Suggested edits are private, unless you decide to share them.
If you do decide to share something the AI created, your friends will see it, and Facebook will use it for AI training. Meta says that media from your camera roll isn't used to improve AI, unless you share suggested content or edit it with Meta's AI tools.
Facebook users in the U.S. and Canada can use the new functionality, and sharing recommendations will appear in Stories and Feed. Opting in or opting out can be done by navigating to Facebook's camera roll settings. Select your profile picture, then go to Settings and Privacy > Settings > Preferences > Camera Roll Sharing Suggestions.
Users who don't want their images used for AI training should avoid enabling the feature. For extra security, it is a good idea to restrict Facebook's access to the camera roll entirely, which can be done in the Facebook section of the iPhone settings app.
Meta has been loosening its privacy policies in order to improve Meta AI and to take advantage of AI interactions. In December, Meta plans to begin using generative AI conversations to personalize content and tailor ad recommendations. Text exchanges and voice conversations with AI will be used in the U.S. to personalize posts, reels, ads, and more, with no way to opt out.

It's system-level. If Meta had a workaround for it, I doubt they'd bother with the dark pattern you have to work through to get the system prompt.I think you have more confidence than the rest of us that any of these settings are actually being respected.

It's not stolen, people need to read what they sign for.I wonder if this is one of the reasons Apple AI is so delayed. Could they actually be trying to develop and train AI by not using stolen (unpaid for) resources or privacy-violating processes? I think that is a big aspect of AI that doesn’t get enough coverage.
100%. I came off all social media about 18 months ago and I don’t miss it whatsoever. All of it is toxic and it’s never going to get better. I don’t understand why people still take it so seriously - it’s not real life.I know some many people are afraid or have FOMO, but quitting Facebook/Instagram was the best thing. I share worthwhile pictures via iMessage with real friends (and have geniune non-public conversations with them).

Recently finished the book “Careless People” and my god I learned how bad these people are. I mean of course I knew Meta was bad, but never guessed it is that bad.
I stopped using all of their products except Whatsapp and unfortunately I am unable to get rid of Whatsapp as its the standard messaging app in the UK and in Europe.
If there's an undisclosed bug that circumvents the limit access then all your photos and videos are in the hands of Meta already. If you absolutely need Meta apps for work then use another iPhone with no personal data on it.for those of us who have to have meta apps for messaging/work, don’t forget that you can limit access to the photos it has access to! it’s super easy to just hit manage and check the ones you want, and saves you the sinking feeling that zuck is sucking up all of your family photos. Years ago I read an article, macOS Catalina era, saying that most Safari privacy toggles are gimmicky made for users to feel good and feel protected ever since I read that I stopped using Safari as my default browser on all my iDevices.I think you have more confidence than the rest of us that any of these settings are actually being respected.
