Here's a new trick in iOS 12 that you may know about but I didn't, so I'm sharing.

The most annoying aspect of iPhone X for me is that it doesn't recognise me without glasses. I set up the ID with glasses because it's even more annoying not to be recognised *with* glasses.

I need to punch in my code 20 times a day, especially at night, and it's even worse when using 1password or bank apps that use FaceID because they have separate logins. Has been like this for a year.

But now there is a workaround. In IOS 12 you can set up a second FaceID. So I've done one with and one without glasses. Problem solved.

………..
I set up FaceID on my XS without glasses fully expecting to have to set up a second ID with my reading glasses. To my surprise, FaceID has had no problems recognizing me with the glasses. I upgraded from an IP6 and am really liking FaceID. I never locked my IP6 because it was such a PITA to constantly input a passcode use the fingerprint sensor. Now, I just grab my phone and its quickly unlocked.

Yes I know a lot of people who have no problems. And if you wear dark sunglasses it will also recognise you. My guess is it's the strength of the prescription. Reading glasses or low strength myopic glasses seem OK.

I have quite a high prescription, but FaceID on my X has always recognised me with or without glasses.
Will be setting up my XS Max this weekend and expect it to work the same, if not better.
