Facetime... 18 months later

As much as people lambasted Apple's ads promoting FaceTime last year, FaceTime is truly a family thing.

I know countless friends whose parents bought iPads or iPhones to FaceTime with their grandkids.

If I want to videochat, I'll go on Skype and use my Quad i7 and 70mbps of bandwidth. If I need to make a quick phonecall, the iPhone works great with the PSTN.

As for me have never used facetime. It would be better to talk/meet face to face rather than being awkward through a camera.

i'm actually using facetime quite a bit right now as i'm in a poor reception area yet have access to fast wifi.

would prefer facetime without the video if possible though. some sort of voip solution thats integrated into iOS and uses my normal #. dont want to sign up for google voice.

I have never used it once and don't ever plan on using it.

Only use it between myself and my girlfriend (😉) but works great for what it is, handy as we don't live together yet but can still see each other when we physically can't and its free

i use it four or five times a month to chat with my cousin who moved to the other side of the country, but outside of that I never use it.
