Facetime doesnt work? Getting a refund.

Actually there is an app you can use the front facing camera with even if the whole mobile network system shut down. Its called the camera and you press the icon on the top right. Jesus, how desperate are you to see these people anyway?

But at the same time, I'm still interested in getting it to work. Maybe mine is broken - will find out. But if I cannot do face time calls from my house or office, then it's largely useless.

Relax for a bit. Skype will doubtless be releasing video chat soon. The camera's not locked for Facetime use only.

best news I have heard so far. if it can be used for skype / ichat then that's all i need.

Went to a different location and was able to FaceTime a friend pretty easily.

Will give it a week. I mean, let's face it. The front camera was one of the biggest new features that drew people in. I cant use it with ichat or any app so face time is my only route. Have tried in 5 different location with 3 other iphone 4 users.

gets stuck on "connecting" and eventually fails. So Apple - you can either approve an App that lest me chat with an ichat user or give me money for the iphone 4 + another phone since I sold my old phone.

Maybe I am reading this wrong, but you expect to not only give you back your money for the I4 because of an issue that could be caused by numerous reasons IE the person on the other end doesn't have a wifi signal... but you expect them to give you money for a new phone to, and you want an app approved in a week for the front facing camera, maybe don't wait the week, give them an hour. if nothing then just go a head and get your money back and badger the apple folks about giving you more money for a new phone, and let us know how that works out for you.
