What's next Apple/AT&T?

on the side note, I don't really care much since I jailbroke my iPhone, I am just curious to what you guys think about what's in store soon

how do you get it to work on 3g after jailbreak?

I use My3G, works great. Tricks the phone into believing you're on wifi. So you CAN download an app over 20MB if on 3G. You can do everything you can as if you were on wifi.

OP: that means December. Haha

I use 3G Unrestrictor.

I have it enabled on YouTube, AppStore, Facebook, FaceTime, LogMeIn, Netflix, Padora, & Skype.

All of these apps change their settings when on 3G compared to Wifi. So now they always think I'm on WiFi.

Next step is to jailbreak.

Welcome in 2011

Three way FaceTime will be really nice. But, allowing to use 3g when you use FaceTime will be nice to.

I don't mind that FaceTime is wifi only, I want Apple to make it an open standard like they said they would.

The iPhone may be released for other carriers in 2011, those other carriers may allow FaceTime over their networks. If that did happen AT&T would allow it also.

Sheesh, we're only 19 hours and 36 minutes into 2010 (at least for me). Give it some time.
Now that we have tiered data, how is FaceTime going to work? I can imagine that will suck a portion of your internet allowance up quickly.

You mean 2011, right? Or are you from a different planet? :D

Joking aside, maybe we'll see a FaceTime over 3G option that would cost 5 or 10 dollars a month (hoping for the latter). Who knows.

Tango or now Skype allow use over 3G no jailbreak needed. I have tested Skype works well. Tango does well also.

I say apple should put the factime audio/video codec as part of iOS 5 API so other devs can use it. No need to reinvent the wheel.
