Factory Unlocking My AT&T iPhone.

I submitted my imei to swift unlocks and I received my unlocked email but I didn't realize that to complete the unlock a restore was required. I don't want to lose my jailbreak so I'm going to wait until the next jailbreak is out. If I wait a few months to restore will the unlock still work or does it expire if you don't complete the process within a certain amount of time?

Yes, the unlock is forever.
You don't need to restore.
You can just sync with iTunes or just stick in a different carriers sim and it will work.

Yep, you should be fine.
It will bring you back to the activation screen once you pop in the tmobile sim and then follow the prompts and once you see tmobile up on the left top corner then you're good.

I got my iPhone4S replaced using Applecare+ a month back. I had it unlocked in April of this year using swiftunlock. They confirmed while giving me the replacement phone that it was unlocked. No issues.

When I had my 4S I got it unlocked thru AT&T. I got it replaced at the apple store and it got replaced with an unlocked 4S.

There is no difference in where you get it unlocked. Swiftunlocks or through AT&T, it will show as officially unlocked at the Apple store during a warranty swap.
