If one does not agree with Apple's practices one is within their rights to return said iPhone 4 for a full refund, as one is still within the 30 day return period.

Further, if one is totally against Apple's practices one is within their rights to sell off and/or trade any Apple product one owns, and to never purchase an Apple product ever agayne.

Further, whiners are annoying.

The stop whining.

So since I bought the phone, its mine correct? So I should be able to Jailbreak, mod, customize however the hell I want correct?

Seems its only a one way street.

You can do whatever you want with the phone, just don't expect them to honor the warranty if you jailbreak it.

Its their website they should be able to do what they want with it. BUT IT LOOKS SO BAD ON THEIR PART.

Aside from it LOOKING tacky as hell, it's just becoming a PR nightmare for Apple. They are so used to people (us included) chanting "ooooh shiny" for every product release, they have no idea now how to handle it when they got something terribly wrong.

The issue largely is their brand and reputation for top notch products, and this is an obvious flaw. And what's more, one that they should have caught in testing. And no, not letting AT&T off the hook, either. They've certainly under-delivered. Now Apple has the right to manage their Forum as they see fit, but they are coming off very badly. They're looking like bullies and prigs that cant take criticism and fear free discussion, and they're doing it to themselves.

The mounting criticism that Apple is an arrogant, detached company is rising and it's hurting their brand. The escalating war of words between Adobe vs Apple vs Google vs Microsoft makes them look vindictive and again, arrogant. The closed and draconian app store. The manipulation of the SDK to kill Flash, despite the tech issues. "Just don't hold it that way." Lame. As these behaviors mount up, the appeal and design of apple's products and powerful brand may begin to fade.

But unless Steve decrees the recall or permanent fix, don't hold your breath for them to get smacked with a clue unless the numbers start to crash.
