So, the real question I have is this. What are you trying to do this for? Skipping out on school? Skipping out on work? Skipping out on probation?

VPN much easier...

1. VPNs will not work. A VPN can tunnel your data through another country, but unless you’re using a web app that doesn’t ask for GPS, many mobile sites and almost all apps (I assume) are talking to the GPS chip in your phone and ignores your internet connection.
Note: you can still use GPS even when cell signal is totally dead. This saved me once, just a fun fact.

This would be the solution for a PC but on any smartphone the app devs know that they can request info from more sophisticated sensors like your GPS, and if that doesn’t work then phone tower + WiFi triangulation as another poster here mentioned.

2. Why are people bothering to reply with asking “why”? You all need to remember that your personal data is entirely yours. Just because someone slapped delicate sensors on you (e.g. iPhone) that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to turn them off or modify them. It’s entirely yours.

3. Bump this thread because I’m also looking for a solution. Why? For fun! Currently I want to play with some Snapchat filters in other countries for example. My VPN is on, as usual, but Snap uses “location services” (gps).

I see poorly rated apps in the App Store that can, at best, modify exif data on your photos that you share to social media, but that still can’t spoof your device/user location. Frustrating. :/

All of the above.

You do realize that there's no way you can fake triangulation. The cell towers log everything for a while, so where ever you go, the police could pull it up later and find out where u where. Don't do something dumb.

You can clear the cache for most apps. Just look in the settings or the advanced settings. As far as preventing the phone triangulation you’re right. You probably can’t spoof that part but I bet software could intercept that information and change what is communicated to that specific app. So the phone might store your location and I’m sure the FBI could dig that up if needed, but Snapchat or twitter for example might grab whatever you feed them.

Also, the phone towers have a record of YOU. You can spoof your Info to third parties but if you’re connecting to phone towers, they’ll have a record of your phone.

I think you guys need to slow your roll with the secret agent concerns and address the simpler question, which is spoofing location that is communicated to an app on the phone.

Not quite sure where that comes into play, but while you can do that for a few apps or maybe at most some apps, it's quite a ways off from most apps, unfortunately.

I am not sure but wouldn't some VPN software let you spoof location? Would that also include GPS?

No, VPN hasn't anything to do with gps. VPN gives you other ip-address than your own from operator and when you are surfing, downloading etc., the traffic goes through the vpn server using that ip-address. If you use a server from Germany, then it looks like you are in Germany unless the software uses gps to locate you (for example giving you local ads/deals).

Only way to fake your gps is jailbraking.

I googled it...It looks like you can use some VPN software to spoof GPS location

lol...the VPN software in the search link I posted says it can spoof GPS location
“Geo-spoofing on an iPhone requires the phone to be jailbroken, which is not ideal. But there are geo-spoofing apps for both Android and iPhone that you can download straight from Google Play or the App Store.”

I think that was mentioned earlier in the thread and some of us are wondering about any non-jail breaking solutions. At this point I suppose it just isn’t possible.

You’re correct, it varies from app to app. The ones that came to my mind while talking about that are social media ones: Facebook, tumblr, Snapchat, Twitter. They certainly make it hard to find the option, too :(

Yeah, the list of such apps is on the smaller side, unfortunately. That said, Facebook has an option to clear the cache?

Guys i just want to ask if how to change my location using vpn
[doublepost=1550641918][/doublepost]
Hello! I really need to figure out how to fake my gps location. I have tried several apps but none of them actually work. I read up a bit on other options like using the apple developer software to edit the code. It's sort of beyond my skills though. Is this the only way it can be done? I'm using a windows machine too which makes it even more difficult I believe. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!

I want to change my location using vpn please help m

I am using a app called fake gps go just install it and it is very easy to use. working in a single click.

I used to do this with a certain "pocket monster" game before I sold my account (I know, boo).

Get XCode, create a blank app, sign it for use on your device, run it on your chosen device. Create a gpx file and set the location once you run the app, based on lat/lon coordinates.
Hi. Hope you are good. I am looking to mock location onto differnt places on iphone but dont know how to set up on iphone as very tricky. I am mainly stuck on which ios versions are easily to have a steady jailreak and which jailrbreak versions etc are best Also I have to trying to achive this via the fake gps apps that are on the market on iphone. Also I need to know how to disable the mock locaiton on iphone, as cant find proper info on this online anyway. Like on andriod you can use somali. And finally how to hide the app, fake gps app and other apps from detection that the fake gps is being used and from root jailbreak. i am such a noob so I need as much info as I can get. Any detail info would be much appricated. Sorry for writing here or making this a long post or question. Cheers
