Did the case come apart when you dropped it or did it just crack the piece? Because one of the things I THOUGHT was an advantage to this case is that whenever I drop a phone in a plastic case, the cases seem to pop open and launch the phone out; this one seemed like even if the case took a pretty good beating it would stay on the phone.

No, the case didn't come apart, and I didn't notice the plastic had broken until I found the phone didn't fit well inside the case (slide back and forth).

Anyway, I will switch to Spigen saturn for slimmer case.

ordered mine from aliexpress..fit and finish is awesome..been using it for about a week now. i have owned MANY element cases throughout these years, both real and knockoffs. this one gets the most comments no doubt.

The undersized backplate is really comical on a white phone... and I think yours is even smaller than mine. If not for that, I think it would be much more compelling.

hahaha.. speaking of comical, i just sold it today. for MORE than what i paid for it! THAT, my friend is comical. :D

Finally Got Mine!!

Alright guys, so the wait is finally over for me because mine just came in today. As promised, here are some quality (by my standards) pictures of how it looks and what it came with.

What it came with:
really nice box with cover (close to the box of the real beats pro that i have), blue carbon fiber sticker and ultra-suede back sticker
screen protector with cleaning cloth
little (metal) screwdriver, 2 spare screws, and foam(which i didn't istall)
black rash guards
Case to carry

I would like to address a few points that are no longer (at least for me) true about the cases from caseswill.com:
First, the phone with case on fits perfect inside the carrying case.
Second, the ultra-suede backplate and carbon fiber are sized perfectly to fit on the phone.
And third, the corners are not rough and cheap like some users mentioned.

This case does feel like a quality piece of material with no flaws. Again, this is my first day with it and my opinion might change, but if you are debating over to get it or not, GET IT! Thanks. Here are the pictures.:D

I actually read your review about a week ago and I realized (like another user said) that these cases are made for style and not protection. But yeah this is a fake, and I am amazed because I was expecting way less quality and attention to detail. Anyway here is the link to where I got it from: http://www.caseswill.com/new-sector-5-aluminium-bumper-frame-case-for-iphone-5-black_p4650.html

I also received my order today from Alliexpress. $18.80 and I think the case is of excellent quality. Mine came in a really nice box, came with side rash guards, a suede back cover (that fits perfectly) and carry case (that the phone fits perfectly in). I have no complaints.

Here are some pictures; sorry, they were taken with an iPad. Mine took about three weeks to get here from the day I ordered.

I'm considering trying that Aliexpress site, a little bit skeptical though.

I've just ordered this one from eBay UK :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IPHONE-5-..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item3a7f5de506

I'm from the UK and should get it in 2 or 3 days. I messaged the seller about the quality and he confirmed he has sold loads of these without any issues and claimed he has the best copies on eBay.

I'll put up some pics when I receive it. Glad I bought this one though because there's no way I'm paying over 100 pounds for genuine one from Element!!!!

Anyone know where I can buy the inner 'grip' part which comes with the genuine ones as this seller doesn't provide these?!

Same one I bought for $20usd from caseswill and is all over aliexpress for about the same. I recognize the manufacturer from the accessories/quality. The case is not a 1:1 replica. There are significant differences in cutout size and shape from the real thing, as well as differences in the spacer sizes. And it's made of painted cast zinc.

I have yet to see a decent blackops copy that comes with the fake rubber backplate. There are blackops versions with the amber spacers that look to be of much higher quality, but they don't bother to even try on the backplate and include suede instead. I'd go for one of those, as the rubber version of the backplate was ill fitting and really not worth it.

The genuine grips will not fit this particular case. Can't speak for the better fakes, they might be closer.

Well, Element sells the grip, as well as the suede back now. Has anyone tried them with a fake?

$24 for the Casewill case.
$15 for the Ultrasuede back.
$5 for the Grips.
$35 Spigen GLAS.tR Slim

Comes out to $79 for a semi fake/semi authentic case with rather well protection I'd say. Any thoughts?

Hmm - I might have to just take a chance with the genuine grip from Elements website. Seeing that I live in the UK, I think it's gonna cost me more to get the item shipped to me than the actual cost of the item itself!! :p

check out these cases!

Been following this thread for a while now, but did not chime in. I got some really nice cases with black corner hinges. Check out the pics. PM me if you want one! Their anodized aluminum, very good quality cases.
Gold, Orange, Red, Silver, Metallic Green all with black hinge.
Black with yellow hinge coming in 2 days.

......on second thoughts - think I'll have to give the 'grip' part a miss -its only 5 dollars from Elements website but they want 30 dollars for FedEx shipping to the UK!!!!!

:p

I just received my 'fake' sector 5 case off eBay (link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IPHONE-5-..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item3ccf589721

(Sorry - just noticed that link goes to a slightly different coloured case than the one I have ordered but the seller has different colours you can choose from)

I haven't installed it on my phone yet but just wanted to post some pics on what I received in my package:

Firstly, you can tell that this is not a genuine Sector 5 just by looking at the box - it is easily recognised as a photocopy of a picture! Also the fact that on the back of the box, there are several spelling mistakes along the bottom!

Opening up the package and looking at the actual Sector 5 frame - I noticed that the Element logo is kind of like a soft spongy material - almost like foam - not sure if this is how it would be on a genuine Sector 5.

Also, inside the frame, in one of the corners (see 3rd pic) there is just 1 piece of t-shaped foam already stuck in?! I wonder why there is nothing already stuck into the other 3 corners?! Examining the contents of the box further, I noticed a bag with the tool for undoing the screw + also 4 additional rectangular sponge pads which I am not really sure where these are supposed to fit?!

I also received some rash guards - think the genuine ones are supposed to be clear whereas the ones I have received are silver colour and not see through.

I received 2 backplates - one is a glossy carbon design and the other is a light grey suede one however I also ordered a black suede one which I will use instead of the grey one as I think the grey one is too light in colour for my liking.

Lastly - also received the carry case. Again - this clearly looks like a fake one as the finishing on the case is a little lazy - there are loose threads hanging off of it here and there which I am sure if it was genuine, would have been snipped off during manufacturing.

Will install it on my phone later and put up some additional pics.

The case literally took 2 days to arrive to me as both the seller and myself are UK based.

I put the 4 foam pads inside the corners of case for protection but didn't actually use the rash guards because I didn't like the colour of them as they were bright silver. I wanted to maintain the darker outer colour of the iPhone 5. I also used a black suede back ,which still has the Element logo, even though this was also purchased from eBay.

The fitting was quite tight - I had to literally use all 5 fingers of one hand to hold the case shut whilst I tried to get the screw in before it all sprung open again but once in - it all looks and feels quite sturdy. There is a slight rattle from the power button but not really that much so I can overlook that!

The whole case certainly feels and looks slimmer than my previous case - Spigen Slim Armor (which, and lets be honest here, isn't really that slim!!!)

I'm also using this Sector 5 with the Spigen Glass T screen shield and it doesn't seem to be interfering with that.

I'll use this for a couple of days and see what my thoughts are on it! :)

Hey guys, quick question;
I know that these things take a while to ship from China but was just wondering if I should be concerned yet. I ordered my Sector 5 from Caseswill on March 1 and it still hasn't arrived. Also their tracking system gives limited info.
Just wanted to know what's the average lead time on these things? Thanks

Just found this video on YouTube which explains exactly the same issues which I have with my replica case. I will admit they are very small nitpicks but nevertheless still are issues with the case.

I suppose - what do you expect with a 30 pound replica !!!
