I'm curious to hear your opinion on the color when you get it. I finally painted mine today at work. Will post some pics maybe tomorrow.

You're a paint guy; can you possibly decipher what this seller is trying to say about this case's finish?

Both my Vapor Pro's black and Royal Pink i mean Purple from caseswill had same finishes. Though I'd guess there most likely are one maybe two suppliers to all the sellers anyway. But my guess is its powdercoat? Whatever its pretty durable stuff as I sanded it and its quite good. More durable than the urethane paints we use on cars. Also there was a primer under the color which I'm pretty sure anodizing doesn't use.

As for the case with the fancy paint description I would say that's all it is. A fancy description to try and sell over other sellers.

Well crap. I'd be happy with a powdercoat or anodization on the orange one. Paint, I'm less keen on.

This is just my guess but based on my two and most of the pics I've seen of others cases. The R8 and the Emphemy one seem to be glossy and possibly painted as per reports of chipping. I'm guessing the others are whatever finish type mine had. And like I said earlier. The purple was on there good. I didn't even bother sanding it all off as good as the adhesion was. Either was I guess it's only $15-20

anybody who is using the Vapor Comp and has the apple dock or a universal charging dock...is there any fitment issues at all?

I guess no one else chimed in. Any case will not work with Apples dock, the exception being a SwitchEasy case, as they include universal dock adapters.

The Element dock is designed to fit their cases.

My latest case was the All black R8 Vapor Pro from caseswil...

Delivery was fine and case fitted good.

One week after finally fitting it to my 4s and the glossy paint is already chipping on the edges.
Phone is being held in my front pocket most of the time...

I still have my other cases...From Jackie Lin

Black Ops, still in great condition...
Silver Vapor Pro, finish and fit are great, but the clear plastic section has now broken due to over torquing of the screws :(
I also have a Red Vapor Pro, which I have not used yet as it was a pinkish color - but a good source of spare parts...

My Royal Purple came today. It's very, very Grape when the light hits it. I'm actually kind of surprised at how much I like it.

Here's a quick pic:

Yep your is same color mine was. I personally didn't like it. It's nowhere near the real Royal's color which was my issue.

I figured. I still like the case. Hopefully the orange one I just ordered will have a similar fit and finish.

Yeah, I ordered a pink vapor pro for the girlfriend and I was highly impressed. Goodluck with the orange. If it looks like this the general consensus is that the color is too light.

I would be interested in seeing pics of the paint job.

I took it back to work. I'll try and get some pics. Currently its cleared with a gloss finish. But after a day I've decided I want a satin finish on it so I'm gonna redo it. Perks of working in a bodyshop I guess.

Take the parts that have the gaps and gently roll it on the edge of a rounded desk or table. My black ops did the same in some areas and some slight mesaging on those areas caused them to "flatten". I don't know how the painted portion will react but if you're not going to use it anyway because of the gaps no great loss if it cracks the paint. I don't see that happening but you never know. Good luck.

thank you for the tip!
i got the side working nicely, but I just couldn't get the bottom to cooperate.

Gah, I hope not. My black/orange Pro from Jacky Lin looks almost like a burnt orange. I want something that looks a little closer to the real deal, or better, Huggar Orange.

Looks like bootleg is the only way to go now if you want a color other than blue or red (black and silver aren't colors).

Element updated their site. You can only get blue, red, black and silver in the Flux finish now.

They also took down the "design studio" that they had up today... hmm.

Just wanted to report back and let everyone know that I dropped my iphone today while running from about 3-4ft high in the air. It hit the cemented ground and tumbled about 5 times. I had the White Vapor Pro case ordered from caseswill.com and it still looks good. The case did its job in protecting my phone, zero scratches. The case still looks really good and only has a couple minor scuffs. It looks good to the point where I feel like I dont need to order a new one. Highly recommend this case!
