played with the foams a little
super tight fit -- a bit of bowing at the aluminum side on the right
shame i couldnt use the suede insert. was too short and the colour was off
ordered the pro in the same colour. should be arriving in 2 days

Where did you find a pro in the same epiphany blue as that comp? Pretty sure that doesn't exist, but I'd love to be proven wrong (I'd buy it in a heartbeat! ;))

What is this 'bowling' everyone is talking about? My right side the case (vapor pro) it shows my iPhone 4 bezel. Is that what bowling is?

this issue lies on COMP on the plastic part.. where the part arch a little than straight
u from HWZ?

Oh, then my right is just messed up hah. I have no idea what HWZ is, so no :p.

Unless it's changed, seemed like earlier in this thread his black ops were plagued by the same issues. Have they been improved? I'm not married to that model, if there is a better fitting replica (r8, comp, pro epiphany) i'll give that a shot. Really just looking for best fit possible.

The Black Ops is a special Pro is it not? My Pro fits like a glove.

So guys, which black Vapor Pro would you say is the most favored? The Black Ops, R8 or the Spectra? Thanks for any input. :)

I have the Spectra Black. Got it from Caseswill no issues. Actually fits better than the real Vapor Royal Purple I had. Beyond that all the cases you mentioned are pretty much the same except for color wise.

The Black R8 is like the Vapor Pro White edition though right? As in, it's a glossy black paint?

I also got a black r8 from caseswill, the quality is good, and it fits my iPhone 4s very well, cool and good looking! I will order anther one for my friend as a gift . :)

Nice! How susceptible do you think it is to chipping though, since it's painted and all?

so i've been using my KO Vapor Comp for a few days now and here are my observations:
1) there is some vertical movement w/ my phone in the case, i don't know if i improperly installed it, but i can push my phone up and down within the case just a bit
2) the poly-carbonate side gets scratched up VERY easily
3) yes, the poly carb side bows out a bit, i don't know how you guys are playing with the padding to remedy this
4) some L-shaped headphone cords still won't fit
5) my Monster cable RF adapter for my car, still won't fit
6) i don't really think this is a "glass-down" kind of case, it doesn't seem to have that much of a "bumper" for the screen
7) the edges where the poly carb meet the aluminum could be finished better

i have compared this to my Magpul Field Case, and my Otter Box. they're all different cases for different purposes. This one of course as the best style, the Otter Box offered the best protection, and the Magpul had to be a great compromise of size, grip-ability, and protection. i would definitely not pay $110 for a real Vapor case. @ $13, i would say it's ok, but my Magpul case was only $9 and i feel like it's better in my hand and i can lay it face down, and i can drop it and not really worry too much.

the buttons on this Vapor case do feel good though. clicking the on/off and the volume up/down buttons is great, i would say way better than an Otterbox.

one last tidbit, there is basically NO difference in shipping from Caseswill. just choose the free-shipping option. i have my shipment that i paid for via Hong Kong post coming in today, a day behind my free-shipping order. they were ordered a day a part, so this makes sense. unless you REALLY want it and need EMS shipping, i say wait the week and a half or so and go with the free shipping.

anybody who is using the Vapor Comp and has the apple dock or a universal charging dock...is there any fitment issues at all?

Just received my Vapor Pro and my Vapor Comp and I'm pleased. Packing was great I was expecting it to come in a plastic ziplock bag but it had original wrapping and everything. Stunned me a little bit. I put the Pro on first but kinda had an issue with the side buttons being exposed so I switched to the Comp. I'll probably switch back later tonight honestly. Going to miss the little protection I got from my Candyshell around the edges but I'll just protect my investment a little bit more.

Ordered on the 8th. Just got here. Thinking about giving my girlfriend one but I don't have the patience of taking hers off when she wants to put another on.

Update: Here are my others. Hopefully they are less huge.

my vapor pro in epiphany after readjusting the foams way too many times to avoid gaps and looseness
(note: this case didnt come with the foams "pre-installed", seller provided multiple strips in different sizes. you are to place as you please)

ordered from casesinthebox.com -- paid for express shipping (yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, shouldnt have done that)

finish on the inside is terrible. paint came right off when i lifted the foam to readjust position. hopefully this wont happen to the exterior

not too thrilled with the engraving. the poor quality makes it look like its painted on

comparing colours/finish on both the pro and comp.
i prefer the comp -- way glossier
TOP: pro BOTTOM: comp

next three pictures are just pictures of .. gaps that are noticeable when held a certain angle. comp didnt have any gaps

FINAL THOUGHTS:
- comp > pro
- will rock the pro until the paint is all chipped/ i cant stand the gaps anymore

- will rock the pro until the paint is all chipped/ i cant stand the gaps anymore

Take the parts that have the gaps and gently roll it on the edge of a rounded desk or table. My black ops did the same in some areas and some slight mesaging on those areas caused them to "flatten". I don't know how the painted portion will react but if you're not going to use it anyway because of the gaps no great loss if it cracks the paint. I don't see that happening but you never know. Good luck.

I emailed Jacky Lin. Looks like he doesn't do colors on the Pro anymore because the "quality not good". :(

So... Anyone have any opinions on this seller?

Or should I just take a look at Caseswill? (from whom my Royal Purple has still not arrived)

I've had my Vapor Pro on for a little bit over 12 hours, still actually like it. The section on the bottom left is getting used to my hand, but overall pretty good. As parfait said the noticable gaps annoy my a tad bit, but compared to the vapor pro I got in Silver, I still like this for now. My only true issue is the exposed buttons on the side. I like how the comp has them tucked away a little bit. Wish I would've gotten a back besides the one with the big E on the bottom, but the texture feels nice. If anyone can help me find some cheap ones, maybe one with the multicolored "apple" logo, that'd be great.

Other than that, the phone doesnt feel "loose" at all

I tried my all black vapor comp from caseswill yesterday on my phone (just received it yesterday too, took a little under 2 weeks).

I didn't take photos (I know, I know), but the gaps around the phone and the fact that it didn't get "put on the table" protection really bugged me.

The felt/suede/whatever backing protected the rear of of the phone, but I was worried because the edges/front of the case were the exact depth of the screen, which didn't offer any impact protection.

The phone also shifted front and back (rear/forward) in the phone (not top to bottom)

Having said that, the aluminum and plastic were quality and everything was lining up OK.

I'm back with my incipio NGP (I like the fact it covers the front endges of the screen). Now I'm just waiting for the Aeris Rail knock-off :D
