- The "Take On Me" ripoff (which was brilliantly done)
- TIE Fighters in the sewers
- Peter calling every Asian man Jackie Chan; the real Jackie Chan calling Peter Ethan Hawke

Anyone have it?
Thanks in advance for any help.

~Shard~ said:I could probably rip the scene from my digital copy if you like. My only questions would be:
a) how do I do this? Will iMovie be suffucient?
b) how will I get you the file? Do you have an FTP server?
We can PM about this offline, but I would appreciate guidance from anyone in general on how to edit an .avi in this manner, keeping in mind I don't have FCE, etc.![]()
I think I can help you out when I get home from work.srs said:Hey folks. I'm a EMT/paramedic instructor, looking for a file of the ipecac scene to use in class... absolutely priceless as a teaching tool!

~Shard~ said:Alas, no.Can I import the whole thing into iMovie, then just crop everything else out except the scene? Or is there quality degredation when importing, then exporting with iMovie in such a manner?
Are there any little free video editing tools like this? Maybe I'll hunt around VersionTracker a bit...

srs said:Sorry, but this is over my head! As far as getting me the file, we can just transfer over IM, correct? I've transferred files this way before. Also, what about the "shared" file deal at a .mac account?
Again, sorry for my obvious cluelessness on these issues, but thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

jelloshotsrule said:not to pry, but how did you get the file? depending, the amount of degradation will not matter... as it's probably a lower quality than dv anyways... i would think that your method would work fine though, the imovie method that is.
worth a look on VT, but not sure of any off the top of my head
MattG said:It'll import it at full quality...just import the video, crop out that section, and then export it to a high quality MP4 (or whatever format you want). It should look fine...
~Shard~ said:No worries - I actually record them every week, so I end up with a nice ~170MB file when all is said and done. So you're right, the quality wouldn't matter too much, it's not DVD quality or anything. Nonetheless, it's still very good.
Great, thanks! I'll look into taking care of that for srs in the near future here....![]()
MattG said:CoolYeah, that whole scene went on WAY longer than I expected it to. That's one of my favorite parts of this show, when they overdo stuff like that. That must have been at least a solid 60-90 seconds of Peter, the kids and Brian all throwing up all over the furniture.
I still say the best two parts of last weeks episode were Stewie's diaper not being changed for like a week, and Tom Tucker tricking Diane with that whole 'if your hand is bigger than your face, you've got cancer' thing.
