So who saw tonight's episode?

After being completely underwhelmed by the Star Wars episode, I came into tonight's show hoping for redemption. I did not laugh once :(. The series in general now feels tired, dated, and is struggling to hold my interest. The writing is just not there, which is sad.

I'm still praying for a turnaround with the series, but the season thus far has been really quite dull for me, I hardly even have an urge to watch anymore (this coming from a Family Guy addict from yesteryear).

That sucks to hear...I won't be able to watch until tomorrow. And I agree about the Star Wars episode -- what a dog.

At first I kind of disagreed with South Park when they made fun of the show, but now I really do agree with them. It never used to be this bad...the last couple of seasons, most of the shows are comprised of jokes attributed to totally random things, with no actual connection to the storyline. There's still a lot of funny, but not as good as the old ones.

Tonight's episode sucked. Seriously. Last week's Star Wars was pretty underwhelming, IMO, and tonight's wasn't any better. I agree: I did not laugh AT ALL. Family Guy really has gone downhill this season, and that's really unfortunate. :(

Wow so I was hoping you guys were exaggerating, but that really was bad. That may very well be the least funny episode of Family Guy I've ever seen. What is it with them in the last couple of seasons where almost every show, there will be a part where two characters exchange this long, boring dialogue that doesn't relate at all to the plot -- it's like the writers think it's funny for them to ramble on or something. In this case I'm talking about the parts where Chris and the convenience store guy are talking to each other. Was that supposed to be funny??

American Dad on the other hand was pretty funny, as usual. Guess maybe the writers have shifted their focus from Family Guy to AD.

I think it was supposed to be like Clerks or something. It wasn't horrible, but it was very lazy and not very funny. I think they rely on that far too much, now it just seems like they're stretching.

Yeah, that used to be terrible, but it's actually getting a little better.

Seriously, that episode last night was the worst I have ever seen.

And I like Family Guy, even the eps others say sucked.

So, this one was reeeeeeellly bad. ;)

American Dad FTW.

Anyone noticed this season's Family Guy is available on iTunes? I'm surprised by all the positive reviews the episode's been getting...

I liked the star wars episode just fine ... a few good jokes here and there. I mean sadly I've been the friend who's been convinced to carry couches home from a curb side ... but yeah star wars was plenty funny to me.

I agree this week's episode was lack luster ... but at the same time I remember a few funny things ... stewie telling the creepy old guy to F-off ... ok I can't remember that many funny things but yeah.

Am I the only one that really liked the Movin' out episode? I actually thought it was a return to the season 1-2 form, more natural dialog, did have some cutaways but they were brief and usually entertaining, didn't overuse too many jokes, didn't pointlessly bash Meg.....

Considering how bad some of the previous season was...though it seems that I enjoy the episodes that do seem to concentrate more on plot. For instance, the Quagmire wedding episode I thought was pretty well written.

The show needs more Quagmire, that character brings the comedy relief. And they need Stewie to be more of an evil genius that is always after Luis. I don't like how they are using Stewie anymore.

It was nice to see Stewie go all evil again. Stupid paperclip nobody likes you.:p

Well its 2009 and its ben a wile since the las post on this thread (2007) so do to the fact that we got season 8 out well... why not.

and speaking of the devil, ho cached a glance at the new episodes in season 8.

I loved Quagmire in S08/E02 wen he discovered internet porn

LOL!!!:D:D:D

Family Guy is a horrid show. It's not clever, overly perverted and too often a poor rip of something the simpsons have already done. I rarely if ever have found it funny either.

"Hey Quagmire, nobody's seen you in days; I'm just going to get my mail " haha lmfao:D

I've liked this series so far, reaaally didn't like the last couple to the last series. The one with how Quohog (sp?) was formed was terrible. Had to turn it off.

I dont know about that i got into Family Guy from watching season 7 but so far from what i've seen S08 its going to be a good season so far the 1st episode is the best of the two.
