Found this http://www.big-boys.com/articles/rugbyhits.html imagine that for 80 minutes with only a half time break.

Wow nice hits (just double checked to make sure i typed that with an "h"). Just imagine if those guys were "American" sized... :D I joke, I joke, I kid, I kid!

In all fairness, Rugby is very brutal, but whenever I've watched it, you may see one or maybe two hits like that in a game. They rest of the time they are just kinda hanging on each other. In the NFL, you'll get hits like those at least a couple per quarter. And usually the NFL guys dont lay around on the ground afterwards, even if something is broken, as its a bit of a pride thing to not stay down (obviously when they get knocked unconscious, they just lay there, or if there neck may be broken... you get the idea). I'll see if I can find some NFL clips like that.

Holy crap, those Rugby guys do have some tree trunk legs, though. And I notice that the rules for tackling seem more leanient, or wide open. Theres no neck grabbing or head shots allowed in the NFL (at least not legally, anyway). And according to the rules, once your down, they play is over and everyone is supposed to stop. Seems like those Rugby guys can keep working you over, though...

Right. Well, here goes...

This wanker is calling it a day and heading out for a martini or two (or 8).

How'd I do? ;)

Dude, I don't think you're a wanker (in the bad sense at least).

But maybe for true Brit authenticity you should have gone for:

"This wanker's going down the boozer to get trolleyed"

I'm sure that NFL is more brutal but that doesn't necessarily mean a better game does it? I don't watch sport for the brutality. Let's just agree to disagree shall we........and admit that NFL players are all handbag waving, flower pressing ladyboys. ;)

Hehehe....I jest of course.
