Stable is the key word here. I can get up to 1.7 in the early morning. But in the evening at peek hours, I get maybe .80. Though my cable internet at home isn't any better. They advertise like 20 mbps, I get maybe 1?

What provider do you have at home? Have you considered switching?

I'm getting between 2 and 4MBps down and 1-2MBPs up on AT&T consistently around Tampa.

I'm in the Pittsburgh area, and we get Armstrong Internet. It's just a local company. They serve Western PA, Eastern Ohio, and a little of West Virginia. It's the only service in this area, no FIOS, no Time Warner, nothing, so switching isn't even possible. I'll definitely be calling them tomorrow to complain because the speeds are ridiculous.

Fastest I've gotten is 2.37 down, 1.00 up (Verizon 4S). Average is about 1.4 down and 0.8 up. Which from a technical standpoint sounds pretty bad, but in practice it seems snappy enough for most things (web surfing, email, FaceTime, Siri, etc.).

Haha I was pretty impressed with 7.14mb/s considering that was in the middle of no where lol. I can't wait till I get to work tomorrow. I normally got about 6mb/s before.

0.25 down & 0.73 up here at home north of Seattle, but I'm home most of the time with 20 down & 27 up on wifi. At least I don't have to restart it a couple times a week to get it to connect to 3G like I did with the Palm.
