Call Radio Shack

Saturday, a friend walked into a Radio Shack store and asked for a cable. As he was leaving he asked if they had gotten in any Iphone 5's. The guy said they had just gotten in 5 Verizon!!! He scooped up 2. So RS is getting some supplies. Call your local store. Good luck.

Has anyone found a way to buy an unlocked phone (for the at&t network)?

Or are we stuck waiting another 3 weeks like last year?

Yes we are the customers that need the phone for our work (flying many time a year)
and AT&T will not unlock it even if we are there customers for many years,
Apple look like don't care,
YAST SIT AND WAIT or buy one at your next trip.
I am going to buy a GSM or the AT&T or a UK one don't realy need the LTE.

I went on a trip a few days ago and decided to check Walmart in the small towns I passed through. I found one that had received a shipment of two the day before and I managed to get the last one. I had preordered from Apple the day before with an estimated delivery date of up to November 1st. My local Best Buy has had Sprint iPhones in stock for over a week.

Has been posted before but be aware that radioshack is actually charging base price + $50 for the phone. At least if you want to pay full price they are. Wont price match unless you have a physical ad and that store has it in stock, which, duh.

There are too many negative reports that I've read about Radioshack and its iPhone 5 policies

--forcing Applecare. Likely illegal.
--forcing accessorires. Sleazy. Used car salesman-esque
--charging $50 above retail. Lame and sad.
--won't let you buy without a contract. Short-sighted.

The PR hit that they are taking is just not worth it. They should just sell iPhone 5 to whomever wants it, full price, subsidized, etc.

Then once supply increases, they will still have no problem selling iPhones.

Their policies are a quick money grab while the iPhone 5 is hot, only instead of like a customer selling on Craigslist, for a few hundred bucks quick, they're doing it at the corporate level on a nationwide scale. It's really lame for a true corporation to do this. How much additional are they going to make by enacting these policies? Short-sighted.

Nothing in NYC Apple Stores. I'll try Radio Shack tomorrow looking to send my Black one back to VZW and get my wife a white one.
I called several Radioshacks in Manhattan and Brooklyn on Friday and a number had stock of 16GB and 32GB iPhone 5s. None had the 64GB model.
