Not a big fan of horror movies but I'd say Michael Myers rules the roost.

    favorite halloween movies?

I'd have to say one of the scariest , creepiest movies was by my favorite Writer Stephen King.. The film is called The Storm of the Century....it was originally a tv mini series.. Watch it in the dark.. Lol I bought the DVDs 6 or so years ago.. The best I guess it's not a Halloween film but it's a great scary movie.

Been a fan of the following:

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
    Hellraiser (first one only)
    Friday The 13! (first one)
    Halloween (one and two)

I actually like Hocus Pocus, SJP character is pretty funny.

We like quite a few horror movies, but there are some that we save for Halloween specifically.

One that’s been on our watch list for a few years now is Trick 'r Treat, in fact, we just watched it this past weekend :)

Also (of course :) ), the original Halloween 1 and 2, and the amazing nothing-to-do-with-Michael-Myers Halloween 3: Season of the Witch

    3 more days till Halloween,
    Halloween, Halloween.
    3 days 'til Halloween,
    Silver Shamrock!

While it's not technically a movie since it was first broadcasted on TV... Anyhow, the best of the best Halloween show of all time, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.:cool:

I love it. My kids loved it. Even the blockhead down the street loves it.

    +100 :D

Also in our standard Halloween rotation to watch (and we did!), and while we actually own it on disc, there’s something fun about watching it on the network broadcast.

I second this movie. It bothered me so much that I have it on my list of movies to watch next decade, not before. No great scenes of gore, just a slow descent into helplessness.

The Storm of the century was on cable 10 or so years ago, and it was winter there was a fire in the fireplace a massive storm outside. I was the only one awake at midnight, all things to make it even more creepier . Lol the part of the movie I still see in my mind, is when the lights go off while the main character Andre Linoge.. Is in the jail cell.. His eyes!!

I thought I posted already in this thread - oh well.

I like the old vampire movies, before the Bram Stroker Dracula in 1992. That is the somewhat campy, low budget stuff of the 70s and 60s :)

For a few years now, I've been watching Secret Window (based on the stephen king book) on Halloween. Not a very iconic film, but it has just the right spirit for me :)

Lol, I love that quote.. It's actually funnier,
People must think I'm a very strange person. That is not correct. I have the heart of a small boy. I keep it in a glass jar on my desk . Stephen King-

He is the master of horror ..
