Hmm. So many, I'll list a few off the top of my head.
- Bejeweled 3 (Love the new modes.)
- Beat Sneak Agent (A most ingenious and fun puzzler with an input of simply tapping anywhere on the screen. It's a technical one-button affair but it's an amazing timed platformer puzzle game.)
- Galaxy on Fire HD (If there's only 1 3D open-world (open-galaxy?) space game with combat, mining, trading, aquiring vessels and upgrading, side-quests and competitions, an actual story arc, this should be the one you get).
- Rogue likes (which are thankfully starting to really take off on this system)
-- A hardcore gamer category of its own.
-- Favorites include (Sword of Fargoal, 100 Rogues, Legend of Yore, Rogue Touch, Powder, and Zaga)
- Junk Jack (If you like Terraria, this is pretty much what it is for iPad. Hours in, barely cracked the surface of the game).
- N.O.V.A. 3 -- Wasn't sure I'd like it, but it is kind of blowing me away. Not simply because it's pretty much Crysis 2 for iPad, but it actually seems to have some surprisingly improved touch-screen controls from the previous entries. The production values skyrocketed, though. It does have its own storyline, but it's very close to Crysis 2 in terms of movie-like production values, camera-work, dialogue, and characters that actually don't seem as generic. Good overall voice-acting and some pretty interesting alien personalities.
- Dungeon Hunter 2 & 3 -- I'm playing 3 a bit more due to its improved combat. It's also free, and I haven't spent a dime on it. The multiplayer works surprisingly well though it is an arena-style dungeon hacker as opposed to the big-map more traditional dungeon hacker of 2. Of course, my time with this game is likely to disappear with Infinity Blade: Dungeons. Though I may work in some plays with DH3 simply due to its live multi-player support.
- Infinity Blade 2 - One of those games you're not sure how indepth they made it, but the more you play, the more you open up. It's one of those games that sticking with it produces a lot of interesting stuff you don't see during earlier plays. Not many games can continuously give you new things to fight and see after 12-20+ repeats. Still haven't taken advantage of the Mob clash mode. I still have certain hidden boss mobs I still need to overcome. Still, I know when Dungeons comes out, I'll be all over Clash Mob.
