Iap? No clue what that means, guessing in app purchase? If that is what you mean no they are not necessary, I haven't bought any yet, and have been playing it for a few days. You can choose who you race, and limit the lobby to certain levels depending what level you are.

Yes IAP = In App Purchases.

1. Gesundheit! HD - Most underrated game IMO, it was recently Free or down to .99...Im a physics/puzzle game junkie and this is my favorite, hope it gets more attention so they keep updating it (which they did recently with new free levels)
