In the minimalist category, I am really liking the elgato Slim Fit 2, matte black.

Apple silicone this year. I dislike the Speck rework of their grip case.

They still make a CandyShell Grip for the 7 actually. Pretty cheap too. Have one on my plus. Note it's a 6/7 hybrid case so the left speaker cutout has a headphone hole, but I still prefer it over the new Presidio series and it's my recommondation for this thread.

Is Speck making these? If so, why do they not sell on the Speck site?

Some of the reviews on amazon say they are knockoffs and are not true specks. I cannot verify that, however, I will say I do really like the Presidio Grip for my 7 plus.

My son has the Presidio Grip on his 7 plus. I like it and I don't. I'm mixed on it right now. I may switch to it, but I got this Apple Silicone and liked it WAY more than I thought I would.

there are some reviews that scare me about the presidio...so I am still looking. Some people report it has fallen apart, which is definitely something I would like to avoid.

However, there is little out there I even remotely like. So it leaves my options at the Presidio Grip or the OB Defender

Yes, they are making these. I called Speck customer service line and those are from Speck and they for some reason don't sell these are their website.

And when I asked Speck about the backwards compatibility, this was the response that I got.

"Thank you for contacting Speck. Some of our cases will be backwards compatible. Meaning that they will fit properly with both iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 models. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We are here to help."

You can call Speck customer service and ask them to verify that information for you

I think that they meant that you can use a 7 plus (Presidio) case on a 6s plus or a 6 plus. Which is true. But, you cannot use the 6 plus/6s plus cases on a 7 plus.

Yes. I know. Okay thanks. But they are making iPhone 7 plus cases with a headphone jack cutout
ETA:

So that people can use this case on the 6 plus and the 6s plus
