That and the fact that Bose would never let their name be stamped on something in the sub $200 range.

They have plenty under $200, go look at their website.

I think some of the bose stuff is overpriced. But they also make some good stuff, I've had bose speakers for 15 years. They sound great and were a good deal compared with competing speakers.

Some new service tie in...

I don't know what Apple will bring out but I imagine there will be some new consumer wide gizmo along the lines of video software and hardware. Something with greater access to content as they have shown they have the demand to generate revenue and also a hardward device to match.

But I hope they incorporate part of that strategy with a new Mac mini with intel. It should and better have a DVI option on one of the products. It would be great if it had really good audio out capabilities via an audiophile type port for connectiong to the stereo too. I'm not pushing for any one standard but I think toslink would be interesting.

Bottom line I hope they deliver this product today but I have a feeling the bigger emphasis might be on some video combination. I'll take the Mac mini though with DVI. I'll do that in a heartbeat.

Has SPDIF... I've been wanting to get rid of the Beige G3 that's in the living room (well, it'll make a nice server, but not in the living room.) This could easily replace the DVD player too.

You know things are bleak when Apple starts releasing its OWN iPod accessories.

Bleak? That Bose SoundDock is is selling really well and they just want to get a piece of the action.

Mac weenies are total newbs when it comes to business.

Careful...next you'll be hanging out at Weenie Hut Jr. and singing the Goofy Goober song. ;)
