Hi, first post here, just got a 13 inch MBP a few weeks ago (my first mac).

Menubar: Dropbox, Weather Vane, BetterTouchTool, and the standard stuff.

I want to change the icons but can't figure out how (the standard drag and drop doesn't want to work) and the drives that I want to change the icons of don't show up in CandyBar.

Are you running snow leopard?
How do you change the look of the GUI...toolbar, dock, etc.

I am on Leopard, and have managed to mess with the dock a little, but I don't know of any program like Shapeshifter by Unsanity, that works with Leopard.

Kind of Wish I stayed with Tiger on my G5

Check the first post in this thread for links to programs that help modify the desktop experience. Also look for a thread regarding geektool and code others have written as well as desktop images to show you what most of those codes do.
