i don't think you can. you can change your "computer name" (in accounts) though.

i have heard of this to change the shortname but as you can see, it's not easy and not totally recommended.
i learned about that on my first mac too, i was bummed i couldn't switch it. live and learn i guess, the new iMac i got was carefully named. 🙂
