are you running Jaguar? I don't remember a striped menu bar in Tiger or Panther.

Definitely not Tiger. The Apple logo in the corner of Tiger was solid blue, and notice the icons in his dock, specifically the iChat logo. Definitely Panther or earlier.

Agreed it is defo not Tiger. I think it is pre Panther as the apple logo was toned down for Panther, I'd guess it was Jaguar but it is really hard to tell the difference between Jaguar and Puma as I wasn't a user of them.

Yep, it's not Tiger. You can also tell this by the lack of a spotlight icon in the menu bar.
