I know. But, packages don't usually stay on the plane. They get sorted at Anchorage and get their int'l customs release and put on a new plane. If any iPhone shipments were on that plane, they would be catching 1-2 next FedEx flights to Memphis.

Large orders often clear customs in ANC and leave on the same plane to MEM to be split up there. I've seen this on Lenovo orders, and matched up FedEx times to FlightAware times. It arrives in ANC, spends about 90 minutes on the ground, then continues on to MEM.
 
Even if you could get service, you would have to find a way to activate the phone first. Or will it still let you can 911. :)

You'll just call Sayid, he will get the iPhones working and picking some weird messages.......

Cool. I never noticed that, so that is why I stated it. Then again, I never bought a product that is causing so much volume for FedEx to deal with.

But, still don't get any hopes up because, " In Transit at Hong Kong" does not mean it left Hong Kong.
