Sometimes fedex will deliver on Saturday. I have received plenty of packages from amazon on Saturday. Not to sure about the iPhone 6 though it specifically states: Deliver weekday. The packaged moved from Memphis to Austin which is 40 miles from the house..

FedEX typically has Saturday delivery year round, not just for certain product launches or retailers.

I'll probably attempt to pick up the package at Fedex today, but I'll update how that goes.

Fuqua office is open 10am to 4pm I think.

EDIT: Actually now they're open 9am to 5pm. I wonder if they have a lot of people expected to pickup?! Doesn't surprise me if the driver lied about attempting deliver to dozens of residents.

How are the pickup lines at FedEx and UPS this fine Saturday morning? I'm going in a couple of hours. Not really in the mood for a crowd, though :(

Fedex opened at 9am (they told me 10am yesterday was the plan), I assume they opened slightly earlier due to so many people getting screwed over by lying drivers.

I'd go around 11am personally, or 10:30am to avoid any lines for people waiting right at 9am.

That's just me though.

That's what I'm thinking too. Arrive an hour after they open so I don't have to wait in line too long if there is a crowd.

Fedex Lies and is Unreliable

I wish I could do that! I called the 800 number and got a message that the shipper (eg Verizon) decided that leaving the package on my porch while I'm away at work on Monday is my only option because Verizon sucks.

The message may have had slightly different wording, but that's the gist.

...WTF? So the delivery company has no way to override that to a more secure method of picking it up?

Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is. If anything, picking up the package myself should make life simpler for FedEx. I'm not even asking for Saturday delivery. Just for them to drop off the package some place safe on Monday.

Going to try calling again and seeing if hitting zero repeatedly will get me a human.

You can't blame them for not leaving at an apartment or condo door as if it is stolen, it is FedEx who has to eat the insurance.

Sure I can as they refuse to let me sign the tag. They either put it in my hands or I have to go get it.

Even if the sender has not asked for a signature.
