I haven't used a mouse in years...
Me neither, but trackpad support is still missing too.
Hopefully there aren't any more spoilers so we can be surprised when they announce it.
they have reversed course on things like the stylus ... unless they aren't willing to admit that the "pencil" is a stylus.
Tim's working.Damn!! hmm I wish this had Finder and I could drag and drop files

These kinds of feature are needed to make ipad a laptop replacement.
next up wish: adding multiple files to an email, and "open with".
i might actually enjoy this keynote.
I don't mind but it would be nice for them to have a few surprises which we get very little of. I usually stay off for the couple of hours leading up as that can often be when the most revealing leaks happen, such as these. I don't care about hardware leaks as that's nothing new, but software has been kept quiet and it would be nice for it to remain that way. But if it doesn't before I begin avoiding the site, that's fine.Or you could, y'know, not roam a rumor site?
They haven't reversed course on the stylus because the Pencil isn't meant for UI interaction, but for drawing.
How about plain old mouse support for the iPad Pro lineup? Without a mouse, it will never be a laptop replacement. This is the reason that the Surface Pro is successful. Full Win app support with Mouse/Keyboard functionality. iOS apps are of high enough quality, that they can function quite well in a mobile environment, but a mouse is essential for extended work periods. There's just too much lost in a professional workflow that requires stopping work to point and maneuver a (comparatively) small screen with a finger or pencil.

Yes, but will this only be limited to Pro iPads?
If you thing the surface line isn't successful in any way, you are blind. It was successful enough to get apple to make the iPad pro. it was successful enough to have most Windows OEMs create a device just like it. Just because it isn't what you want or isn't the norm doesn't mean its a failure. iPads were a success just as surface was a success. The Surface line is not successful in any way.
Not sure why you'd had to bring your personal review here.

I don't get it. Wasn't this mentioned already on this site already?

Microsoft sells like 12 Surfaces a year.
Okay, 1200 a year. There you go.Add a couple of zeros onto that number.
Is my Pencil also a point(y)ing device?!Obviously, the suggestion of a mouse was meaning "pointing device" other than touchscreen. Apple has chosen to have two devices... touch screen on one, and pointing device on the other. Microsoft continues to charge ahead with a strategy to use them both together. Two approaches. I'm finding that I like Microsoft's approach much better for anything but my phone.
Will be interesting to see today if Apple shows any signs of wavering on this, after the wonky touch bar has not really been a hit. My guess is that they will not, even though they have reversed course on things like the stylus ... unless they aren't willing to admit that the "pencil" is a stylus.
