Well I think we can be sure that Apple have taken care of most of the iPad Pro complaints. Hopefully there aren't any more spoilers so we can be surprised when they announce it.

I haven't used a mouse in years...

Me neither, but trackpad support is still missing too.

Obviously, the suggestion of a mouse was meaning "pointing device" other than touchscreen. Apple has chosen to have two devices... touch screen on one, and pointing device on the other. Microsoft continues to charge ahead with a strategy to use them both together. Two approaches. I'm finding that I like Microsoft's approach much better for anything but my phone.

Will be interesting to see today if Apple shows any signs of wavering on this, after the wonky touch bar has not really been a hit. My guess is that they will not, even though they have reversed course on things like the stylus ... unless they aren't willing to admit that the "pencil" is a stylus.

Or you could, y'know, not roam a rumor site?

They haven't reversed course on the stylus because the Pencil isn't meant for UI interaction, but for drawing.

Well if they want the iPad to be the next laptop (which I still don't think will happen) they gotta add a lot of power features, so this is a start.

These kinds of feature are needed to make ipad a laptop replacement.

next up wish: adding multiple files to an email, and "open with".

i might actually enjoy this keynote.

Already have that.

I don't mind but it would be nice for them to have a few surprises which we get very little of. I usually stay off for the couple of hours leading up as that can often be when the most revealing leaks happen, such as these. I don't care about hardware leaks as that's nothing new, but software has been kept quiet and it would be nice for it to remain that way. But if it doesn't before I begin avoiding the site, that's fine.

How about plain old mouse support for the iPad Pro lineup? Without a mouse, it will never be a laptop replacement. This is the reason that the Surface Pro is successful. Full Win app support with Mouse/Keyboard functionality. iOS apps are of high enough quality, that they can function quite well in a mobile environment, but a mouse is essential for extended work periods. There's just too much lost in a professional workflow that requires stopping work to point and maneuver a (comparatively) small screen with a finger or pencil.

The Surface line is not successful in any way.

Not sure why you'd had to bring your personal review here.

This is the reason an iPad is not a laptop replacement, regardless of what people will say in these forums or Apple's convincing of the "Pro" moniker.

Yes, but will this only be limited to Pro iPads?

Since Air 2 and the new iPad can run two apps side by side they should have drag and drop as well.
Let's hope they won't limit the feature to pro models for commercial reasons.

If you thing the surface line isn't successful in any way, you are blind. It was successful enough to get apple to make the iPad pro. it was successful enough to have most Windows OEMs create a device just like it. Just because it isn't what you want or isn't the norm doesn't mean its a failure. iPads were a success just as surface was a success.

It sure won't be a drag if this drops today.

I first read that as 'FACEBOOK allows drag and drop'! I don't think I'd make many friends dragging or dropping them, as much as times are tough ;)

No, you're blind.

It sells a fraction of what Apple sells in Macs and iPads.

The iPad Pro has nothing to do with the Surface line.

The iPad has had keyboard cases for a long time now.

Microsoft sells like 12 Surfaces a year.

Add a couple of zeros onto that number.
Okay, 1200 a year. There you go. :p:D

Is my Pencil also a point(y)ing device?!
(Serious tough, it is for me even better then a mouse, much more versatile!)

As of iOS 10, I can already add multiple files & photos to my emails.

Try press and hold an empty space in the email and tap the "right arrow" in that popup until you see "add attachment". You can add multiple attachments that way, not multiple at a time, but you can do that over and over until you have all the attachments added.
